Panasonic's new 2012 sets.

A few big changes from 2011. Well worth watching.

 Maybe in terms of entertainment but definitely not when it comes to cost of 3D blu-ray.

I had an email from Amazon when I woke up at 7 this morning; they've already dispatched a replacement TV using first class post.

Just better bloody hope it doesn't buzz...

Only one Panasonic TV is passive 3D. The video at the top of the page goes through the 2012 sets. Seems like the passive 3D is made by LG.

I might be on the hunt for a good 32" TV. Main uses are gaming and watching TV and don't want to break the bank.

It would be to replace a hastily purchased 40" Samsung that has terrible response times and obvious ghosting when playing games like Deadly Premonition.

What do you guys recommend? The most important thing is I get rid of this ghosting!

Are 2 of those 3 LED? I was under the impression there was only 1 plasma TV using passive 3D, didn't know the LEDs would be using them too...?

You often get people asking for sound systems deals in here, so I thought I'd post this...

Panasonic SC-BTT270EBK 3D 5.1 Blu-ray Home Cinema Surround System (1000w, iPod/iPhone Dock, USB) @ Amazon - £179.99

Apologies if it's not a good deal/system is cack but it seems to have a good heat rating on HUKD.

Yeah it's decent, sub is a bit lower quality than the 300 range, we have it at work for 200 quid. Nice system

My HD tv has just went a bit wonky on me. It turns on fine, light is on and can still hear the sound but no picture. A bit of googling and it looks like the backlight or the part that switches it is on is bust. Anyone know how much this would cost to fix, or how easy to do yourself?

I'm also on the lookout for a new tv on behalf of my brother. His broke and he's claimed on the insurance, meaning £500 to spend on a new screen. What would you fellas recommend or shall I wait as Glowy said for some new models? Don't think he'll want to wait a few weeks to be honest, he needs to spend the money before his missus spends it on shoes!

Mainly used for hd tv and his 360.

Edit - This any good?: Panny Plasma

Anyone heard anything about the new Samsung range thats out?

Looks similar to last years but with an inbuilt camera/microphone that offers gesture and voice control.

Top of the range 8000 has ditched the X foot stand in favour of one that runs the length of the set...

What I found to read on it suggests its a pretty good set too, definitely still the best looking TV out there.

Mind you, you pay for it, the 40" ES8000 is £1,449.
