Picked up one of these from Gamestation 2nd hand for my little lad less than a month ago. Unfortunately, the hinge has snapped. Common fault apparently. Would I be able to return it back to Gamestation? Or will they say it's user negligence? I don't think he's been particularly brutal with it. I have my finger poised on buying a replacement shell, but thought I'd try returning it first. Thing is, it's a bit out of my way from home so thought I'd ask you kind folks first.

If nothing was wrong with it when you purchased it, I doubt you would get refunded. You could try, especially if you think it is a fault.
You could always call them and have a chat as well couldn't you?

Broken hinge on a DS Lite? Wasn't that only a problem in the initial shipments? o_O

You've got one ancient retro DS Lite there <3

I broke the hinge on mine by stupidity dropping it whilst attempting to change the cart.

I was considering getting a replacement case for it but after seeing how complicated changing the case was I just bought a new one instead.
