Ok so i want to feed all my my devices into a switcher that then gives me hdmi out and 5.1 via 3.5mm jacks as my speakers onky Support this. I could be being too ambitious but that i would ask :)

I have a HDMI matrix unit and it was a stupid price. It has 4 inputs and 2 outputs. The outputs can show any of the 4 inputs at the same time.
Most half decent amps will do HDMI switching these days. Might be a more cost effective option.

As for the 3.5mm jacks, cut them off and replace them with whatever you need instead.
