Ive been told by some guys at work I can claim back money from HMRC for washing and maintaining my own uniform.

Some of my colleagues have managed to claim and get the money sent to them already. I rang them this morning and the nice scouse lady on the phone said I had to write a letter with how much I want to claim :|

How do I know that, how much per year. Ive been working at comet for 11 years. Has anyone done this and can offer advice?

Ive been told by the tax people its £60 this year, then £45 every other year back to 2006 8-)
