I am starting to get annoyed with my glasses. They are sometimes uncomfortable, and get in the way.
So how are contact lenses like? Are they comfy, and do you notice you even have them on? Are they worth it? Also do they cost much?

Also, I don't have enough money, but have any of you had lasik eye surgery?

Tried contacts for only a week or so. They were a bit of a pain to put in and take out (which I'm sure gets easier), but they tend to dry your eyes out a lot, so eye drops are recommended. They were too much hassle for me, but I don't really notice my glasses (Had them for around 3 years now).

My Dad had the eye surgery in the Summer. It takes a bit longer to heal than the adverts suggest, and he was in a fair bit of pain for the first two days or so. As long as you use the meds and drops they give you, and wear the special sunglasses when outside, it totally seems worth it in the long run.

Have worn contacts for about a year now. Pay about 12pounds per month, and i'd say it's definitely worth it.
Some contacts can dry your eyes and feel uncomfortable, but I think it is different for everyone and you can change the type if this happens.
As D_C says, most types have to be taken out at night, and put in in the morning, but you do get used to this and it takes all of 30 seconds for me now.

The only problem I have with them is that because the contacts I use are bottom of the range they can sometimes split in my fingers when I take them out. All things considered I would recommend you at least try contacts, I find them far more convenient than glasses and an alternative to having laser surgery.
I can't speak for laser surgery as I haven't looked into it, but the thought of potential damage puts me off.

I wear both. I mainly wear glasses but use contacts when I do sport or go watch a 3D film.

I find contact lenses are very confortable as in I forget I have them in after awhile. I use 1 Day Acuvue Moist.

I had laser surgery 2 years ago-ish. It was fantastic! See the thread here:

Ask me anything you like!

I've got monthly contact lenses. You don't really feel them at all other than just after you put them in, or when you've had them in for ages and they get a bit dry.
