So I want to see this SNL Hulu gooseberry fool from the web but am always told that it's not available outside of the US. I downloaded Tor hoping that would help me get past the problem but found that you can't really use Flash while in Tor. I've heard you guys talking about getting around Netflix regional issues using computer trickery (yes I'm a noob). Could someone tell me how to get past these restrictions I'm now facing?

I tried using tunnel bear just now. Makes my internet REAL slow but doesn't help me view Hulu in the US.

What do you mean unblock you the US? Where would I have blocked it?

UnblockUS only works with certain supported sites, it isn't a universal unblocker.

Unblock US works with Hulu. I just tested it. You have to turn off any adblocking software for Hulu to work however.

So if I temporarily disable my adblock pluggins then go to unblock.us and try the link to the Hulu video I want, it'll work?

No, you need to disable your adblock plugins and then use the Unblock.US DNS settings. Nothing to do with using a link to Hulu on their website.

Right, so I found a site that streamed the SNL bit I wanted. After watching it I ripped it in mp4 format to my computer. I tried putting it on youtube but found that the instant I did this it got blocked. What in this video file is triggering youtube to block it and how do I disable it?

I don't know the technical details but it seems videos have a digital fingerprint. Some TV channels are militant in having their shows protected. When YouTube detect that a posted video matches the fingerprint of a copyrighted programme they will remove it. That's why some people post videos with a reversed picture, so it can trick the detection system.

This topic deserves it's own thread me thinks.

Anything to do with saturday night live will get pulled from YouTube. They want people to use hulu.

Not really. In addition to the fingerprinting they employ people to manually find and takedown this sort of thing. SNL in particular they are very aggressive about.
