Going to set up Saturn again pretty soon

I have Virtua Cop + Lightgun on its way, and also Virtua Cop 2. I love these games. I've been trying to find cheap copy of The House of Dead (I couldn't give a hoot if it's rare, I refuse to buy it at silly prices as it's bad port).

I also want Guardian Heroes again, if anything I'll probably it next week at £30+. I may have to try and get Shining The Holy Ark, I liked it when I had it but I didn't play much of it because I got owned so easily :fp:

Only game I need is Saturn Bomberman... but every version I spot on eBay is ridiculously overpriced and has a ripped box :(

got panzer dragoon 1 and 2 on ebay a month or so ago for £7.

the guy had put the sale up for 3 days only, and titled as, "2 saturn games, cd games, good".

mine.

I must admit I would love to relive those early saturn days. Sadly I sold mine on both times I owned one and I reckon if I got one now it might make me blind. Emulation is the way forward for this one, but not for the arcade ports, for those we need the actual arcade ports!

It's difficult to emulate Saturn games, and almost as difficult to port the arcade versions.

They did a few arcade ports (VF2, Sega Rally...) for PS2 in Japan but haven't bothered since.

Yeah I know. The thing is I doubt Sega will bother emulating the Saturn because of the fact that it was not that popular and the games look awful now, worse than the PS1 games, which are pretty bad now!

they don't look great, but its all about the game play, never got into the emulation thing, nothing like playing the orignal game on the original console.

you can pick up a saturn for seriously cheap money on ebay, i'd say go for a mk2 though, the mk1's at the age they are now start to show problems, mainly with reading discs.

depends on what you want.

console with pad and cables, no more than £10 to £15, maybe £20 for a Mk2.

i got a Mk2 couple of months back, 2 pads, cables, sega rally and virtua fighter 2 for £15 posted as a buy it right now.

depends what your after, and how much you wanna pay. usual Ebay plan, search for the bargains, they are out there.

i've seen large lots with 15+ games go for as little as £25, as said, its not a popular console.

Wow that is cheap. I may search for one in the next week and get a few of the classics like Sega Rally and Nights! I might pick up Daytona just to confirm that the pop-up really was that bad!

Daytona is still great to play, the CCE version had better graphics and more tracks, but seemed to have had all the life sucked out of it.

I never played the Saturn during its time, but I like Nights the most.

Been listening to Sonic 3D Saturn music, much better than the Megadrive Version

Ha, I wrote the reviews for Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Alien Trilogy, Virtua Cop 2, Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx, Quake, Duke 3D and Sonic Jam too...

we're in the process of getting them up onto the main section, but they're all here...

http://segasaturngroup.proboards.com/in ... rd=reviews

We'll be updating to VF2 review to give it a 9, my original 8 was harsh.

I may just do that, although my memory is pretty limited if you want detailed reviews. Good idea for a website though, i shall join it!
