Well. it's a DirectX title. so it really should. That's no kind of guarantee, though, A quick google suggests that there are some technical problems with the launcher, and that's it's also not insurmountable.

Thanks.

Grim Fandango Figurines

Kotaku wrote:
People, if you want to impress us with custom action figures, don't do Metal Gear Solid, or Grand Theft Auto. Do classic Lucasarts adventure games!

That's what Iain Reekie did with these Grim Fandango figures, which are amazing not only for the likeness, but for the fact that he did the entire sculpt. Then again, he had to, really, since there aren't many Marvel or GI Joe figures lying around you cannibalise for heads like these.

Wonder if he's taking requests for a Monkey Island set?

Apparently it'll play fine if you run it from the EXE that's installed.

The tricky bit is apparently getting it installed. If you have an older retail copy of the game, since, as I understand it, the original installer is a 16bit application that won't run under 64bit Vista.

I played it with a pad as well. It's quite consoley for an adventure.

They really should bring it to XBLA. In HD. Mmmmm...

I'd love that but I don't know if it'd be technically feasible. They'd need to use some serious compression.

Right, so I've just managed to install this and I'd like to use my USB 360 pad but the game won't seem to recognise it. Any advice?

It SHOULD work as a Direct X compatible joystick, but you may need to configure it under Windows (search the start menu for "controllers" for the set up USB joystick app under Win 7), and IIRC you may also need to activate the controller in the game (pressing CTRL-J?).

The perils of a non Games for Windows title, I'm afraid.

Cheers for the help, but it worked after I closed the game and reopened it. :fp:

I love how they styled the Land of the Living. So eerie.
