For those who are curious I've put this into its own thread so as not to set off Brer (who seems to think the SP wrapper for DayZ is some kind of personal insult) and might want to try this:
A fairly brief introduction to starting out with a new avatar in the latest build (1.3.1) of Kronzky's brilliant Unofficial SP wrapper for DayZ. I usually spend a lot longer kitting out my avatar with all manner of goodies (binocs, compass, GPS, map, ammo, food, medicines, etc), but this will give you a flavour of what is possible. New player skins is one of the more recent additions to this SP version. I also enabled the 'Loot-Finder' option (colour bars above properties likely to contain loot and/or Zeds) just for the sake of this video.
I turned off zombie attacks for this video, but if left on, the game remains a very good SP 'you-against-Zeds' game, with the entire DayZ map at your disposal. There are TONS of options to play with in this SP version - you can even spawn vehicles (but you'll have to repair them to get them to work). I also set the time of day (it's a fully-adjustable 24hr slider), as you will see. If you prefer playing at night - go right ahead.
This excellent wrapper (or 'mission') for DayZ does not allow you play online and you will not be able to transfer your SP save for use in MP. This is a strictly off-line, SP version and is huge fun plus a touch more laid-back and relaxing than the full MP experience, so if hunting down Zeds and looking for loot is your bag - step right in! No pesky Bandits to worry about! The world is yours to do with as you please.
By copying your game saves after each play session to a back-up folder you can ensure that your character progresses from game-to-game - so if you make a mistake and get yourself killed; no worries, just copy and paste your last save back into your saves folder and you're good to go again.
Thanks to Kronzky for generously making this mission available to all. Have fun!

Hey guys, I just found this awesome mod for Counter Strike Source. It lets you play offline against bots, so you know you dont have to worry about anyone killing you, cause i know it gets really annoying if you die in a game. Also you can even just spawn all the expensive top tier weapons at the press of a button! you dont have to work for them at all! Its great! It really takes the hassle of playing the game out of playing the game. Even better, if you go onto a site called YOU TUBE you can actually just watch people playing the game there. Then you dont even have to worry about getting killed by a bot! LOL!
Seriously banana splitish behaviour in this thread.
Baffling, really. I'm guessing the likes of Brer imagines himself being oh-so-witty, perhaps even amusingly ironic - instead of the condescending, sneering p***k he actually comes across as.
Ah well. All I can say is that my first YT video re: DayZ SP, without any effort on my part, is getting very close to 1000 views (942, to be precise) - someone clearly finds this interesting, even if the sainted Brer does not (and wishes everyone to know that).

What is this supposed to indicate? I have a youtube video of an awful postman pat puzzle game with several thousand views, it means diddly squit. It certainly doesnt mean that the subject in question is any good.
