I wonder if the mother is even concerned that her 13 year old is playing Call of Duty?

Nope, she more than likely bought it for him.

Yep. No games, voice chat or on-line on PS3 so it must be.

But on the other hand, he wouldn't have been able to track him down unless they were playing on a network that gives away your personal details to the world.

This Comment is brilliant:

Quote:
Well I am for once, utterly and completely outraged. It takes an awful lot to offend me but I am so sick of these hateful and violent video games destroying lives. I have already lost 2 nephews and a cousin to Mario Kart, and my daughter is close to losing her boyfriend over this Fiva 12 game or whatever it's called. Ban them! Ban them all. Lets try to get away from this awful period of time this country is in where people are committing crimes over video games, influenced by the destruction they are seeing. Lets go back to a more peaceful time in history, like the 1940's, where video games were nowhere to be seen. 1940's peaceful are you completely uneducated or just slightly insane???!!

I bet he was actually in a real war and ITV told the Daily Mail that it was a PS3 game.

Well tbf it wasn't the 13 year old who was negatively affected by the game, was it? Maybe they should have an upper age limit too.

The fact they were playing a game is irrelevant. The man obviously knew the kid and the kid was calling him names. Obviously it's wrong to confront the kid and throttle him or whatever, but he was basically asking for it.

I played Call of Duty when I was 13/14. I don't see why that's a problem here. Obviously the adult here is the complete moron.

Yeah the man did know the kid in the real world. The newspapers haven't been specific but I'm guessing he was a 'family friend'.
