I don't believe they reviewed the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3. The game is a complete mess.

Ben Wilson criticised PSM3 &/or Play for reviewing from non PS3 code last year, so I'd be surprised if they did that.

Skyrim also had its score slashed for that very reason - i.e. it didn't work properly.

I thought it was excellent. Some slight slowdown but very playable.

Framerate rarely hits 20fps, my game crashes pretty much all the time(no other game I own does this) and loads of side missions get corrupted and made unavailable. It's a complete piece of gooseberry fool.

I thought this was intentional, going by my playthrough.

I fail to comprehend how anyone could give Mass Effect 3 a 10/10. Doing so suggests that at the very least, the game is greater than or the equal to Mass Effect 2, which is scientifically incorrect.

Never had a crash in over 30 hours. I actually felt it was one of the better 3rd party ports on the ps3.

Put it next to Batman Arkham City or even Mass Effect 2 and it is loads worse.

I promise you that under no circumstances whatsoever would we review any game off non-PlayStation code.

You're of course welcome to debate and disagree with any of our scores - ultimately everything is subjective - but I can guarantee that if something is on PS3 we'll only review it off that format.

Hence why our Skyrim review was delayed (we were only offered 360 review code which we repeatedly refused) until we could play the boxed PS3 version, at which point it scored a 7 thanks to Old Mr Lag.

No - pre-patched version as sold in the shops.

My copy should be waiting for me when I get home then. Surprised the Jak and Daxter collection wasn't a point or two higher.

Yeah, same. Jak II isn't particularly clever but 1 and 3 are really quite good.

Their opinion of the original J&D bears an uncanny similarity to that of Eurogamer. I guess those in the videogame press don't like old-school platformers...

Doesn't seem to tally whatsoever with the consensus of here & other boards; that is to say J&D is considered to be the best of the 3 (rather than aged).

The first Jak and Daxter is aged?! Is that what OPM say?

Bollocks.
