A console with a couple of great games, but ultimately viewed with extremely rose-tinted spectacles.

A couple? :|

I loved the Dreamcast. I want to play Sonic Adventure again (and numerous other quality titles). :(

There were just too many quality games in such a short period of time:

Virtua Tennis 1 and 2
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2
Crazy Taxi 1 and 2
Shenmue 1 and 2
Outtrigger
Jet Set Radio
Space Channel 5
Samba Di Amigo
Sega Bass Fishing
Virtua Fighter 3tb
Soul Calibur
Metropolis Street Racer
Sega GT
Daytona USA 2001
F355 Challenge
Skies of Arcadia
Cosmic Smash
Resident Evil Code Veronica
Phantasy Star Online

Plus dozens more AAA games. If it carried on for longer we would have had the best console ever made if it is not already!

This is the Dreamcast thread fella. No one bothered with an anniversary thread for the N64.

I think the great thing about the Dreamcast 10 years on is that all of their games would not look out of place now, whereas PS1 and N64 games tend to look hideous, well the PS1 and non-cartoony N64 games do (inlcuding Goldeneye)!

I don't think much of arcade games.

Well, it had its fair share, but there were quite a few non-arcade games on the system!

Good job it had stuff like Phantasy Star Online, Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, GTA2 etc. The machine had a larger selection of games than a certain 64 bit console had :shifty:

Nope. The PS2 gave me GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas. I played GTA2 on my Playstation 1. I'm counting Jet Set Radio and Shenmue as my "couple", although Shenmue is tentative as I haven't had the chance to play it yet. I also don't think much of JRPGs.

I bet you that I'd still rather play San Andreas.

Your loss, Shenmue 1 and 2 are 2 of the finest game experiences ever, whilst they may not be great gameplay wise its the depth that Yu Suzuki put into the game world that makes it so special.

To be honest, when I'm playing games, gameplay is pretty much a priority of mine.

You're trolling again, Seriously, why?

I never played Shenmue, although it's in a drawer here somewhere.

This isn't stating an opinion though mate. This is trolling. If I had gone into an N64 thread with that I would trolling(and 100% correct).
