Right, first of all: **** YEAH I FINALLY GOT PAST MOJO KING BEE ON MASTER PLAY MWAHAHAHA YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Secondly; anyone else a fan? :)

My personal favourite PS2 game, a quirky yet fun as hell rhythm game from the creators of the also amazing Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents, boasting a strange (and sometimes annoying) cast of characters and a brilliant soundtrack. Not to mention an insanely difficult hidden difficulty that haunts me to this day!

The PSP version is one of the main reasons that would tempt me into buying a '2000. Unless you hate rhythm games (and even then this might turn you around), I can't recommend tracking down a copy enough.

The gameplay's a little tricky to explain, so here's some footage of my favourite level:

Yep, one of my favourite rhythm action games. I got up to the final boss on master, can't remember if I did it. The Samba Trio was absolute hell.

"The Legendary Song" (both acoustic and electric) is one of my favourite VG songs ever.

The PSP game is also good, with a couple of new tracks.

I should also add I have the OST of this game. Love it to bits.

Yeah this is one of my favourite rhythm games. I need to pick up the PSP version at some point.

My favourite tracks were the Legendary Themes, the one with the organs in the cathedral (Flying to your Heart I think), and the drum and bassy chase song.

My all time favourite Wii game would be a new version of this where you clipped a Wiimote into the end of the GH/RB guitar and played shooting sections as well as beat-em-up ones :o

No, Flying to your Heart was the one with the UFO.

I never got past the one in the Cathedral :( Not even on easy...

The number of times I heard "Mama, I've done it again"....

Superb game. Only ever completed/attempted it on the default difficulty level, but it was great fun. Loved the acoustic level and this one:

I still pride myself on beating both normal and master mode in the space of a week. 8-)

Then I swapped it under Game's ten day returns policy. :fp:

Then I bought it off Amazon again for a tenner. :D

It's one of my favourite PS2 games, and probably one of the best rythym action games ever made. The Legendary Theme and the final Radiohead-esque song were standouts for me.

I hearted this game so bad when I got it the first time that I completed it on the master difficulty three times.

The PSP one wasn't quite as good.

I thought the PSP one was more or less a straight port with extra levels.

It's the only one I've played. Do you mean the controls weren't as good? Then I don't have to feel so bad about sucking at it.

The PS2 version is better than the PSP version, but they're both great.

Master was ridiculously hard, but so satisfying when you finish it (The same as perfecting EBA/Ouendan on the hardest difficulty).

I love Gitaroo Man, it took me an age to finish it, and i'm stuck on the second level of Master, have been for at least a year. :fp:

Wikipedia explains the gameplay as good as anyone can I guess: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gitaroo_Man, check the 'Gameplay' section.

When you start playing it, it's immediately clear what to do. Very intuitive.
