Looking for some good games websites asides from the usual Eurogamer, IGN, Gamespot brigade.

Anything where the writing's good, and the design won't rape my eyes? Any tips GRcade?

GRCade, Eurogamer and Edge Online are the only games sites I go on. I'm not actually that into gaming anymore tbh. Still play the odd game on the PS3, but the main reason I come on here is for the bants in Off Topic

Yeah, I don't actually read much news at all. Eurogamer is the only site I look at even semi-regularly, otherwise I tend to just grab Gamestm most months and get outdated, but well written news from there.

If I didn't buy magazines, I think I'd probably stop going for a gooseberry fool - its the only thing that keeps me regular nowadays.

I now have a bunch of game sites RSS feeds on my homepage and pick and open up anything that stands out.
You can't ignore N4G. A lot of it is just fanboy propaganda but the diversity of 'news' means something unusual can be bought to your attention. And when there is something interesting going on it crackles with excitement. C&VG is a bit unoriginal in content, and a bit immature but I tend to visit it a little more these days. I like knowing the staff live in the same country I do. Industry Gamers gets first hand opinion from people in the industry.

Kotaku much less and less then ever before and not just because of the hideously awful redesign. Editor-in-Chief of Brian Crecente seems to think his journalistic background makes Kotaku a worthy site, and there is a pompous superior attitude that all the writers seem to have which is not merited by the scope of their opinions or the finese in their writing. Editor Stephen Totilo once in a while writes an interesting article that looks at gaming from another perspective, such as the write of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood explaining his writing choices.

I also visit MCV and Eurogamer, and pretty much most of the other big sites.

The re-launch really helped didn't it? I mean, it's still a 'big' site, but the content is much more accessible.

Never a big fan of Kotaku really. Is D+PAD still going? I occasionally visit but the site never got it's big update.

Much the same for me. This is my source for news but I also spend far more time reading off topic.
