This is a composite of two pics of the same scene in Pontypridd, with some filtering.

Wow, some great photos in this topic.

Anyone got any advice as to where I can pick up a Digital SLR reasonably cheap? In fact, is anyone willing to sell me one?

I love this one. It was the perfect shot (wish it had'nt been so blurry tho). The sun was shining in through a hole in the roof of the stage, making a perfect natural spotlight.

Image

Its a shame the ferris whell has been so overphotographed, as its lost a little bit of its mysteriousness, for want of a better word. Still looks fantastic however.

This one was probably my favourite. The last photos i took on the top, i just wandered into a classroom in the school and saw the gasmask sitting on the floor. Couldnt believe it.

I was pretty pleased with how well the photos turned out, considering they were from a fairly cheap (120 euro) camera

Yeah, your Chernobyl topic was amazing, and these pics are great - they really give a sense of how desolate the area is. It looks so eerie, especially all the classroom pics - the empty desks, the warning posters and such. Great stuff.

Chirstmas photo time  Limited light meant I needed to use my tripod and the table the tree is on meant some of the shoots aren't what I intended them to be.

I posted them in the Chat Room Thread, they're amazing. I used to hate photography (I still hate most of it) but photos like those are great.

Since getting a DSLR I've become acutely aware that my photography leaves something to be desired, I've just about deleted most of the shots I've taken with it. Still here's a few shots (some with the DSLR, some with a compact) I took that are alright i guess.

Image spider!

Image the same spider but with flash.

Image e from the eels - saw the great man at paris last year.

Image the view from my bedroom window on Christmas day 2007 - nothing special really, but I liked the sunset.

Image same picture edited to look meaner and moodier.

Image took this with my dslr, nothing special but at least it's quite sharp

Image another dslr shot, trying to be arty I guess.

Image st peter's square, vatican city.

Image exiting the pantheon, Rome.

Image cool New York skyline shot

Image more New York

Image New York, Times Square (or near there) in the magic hour

Those rally pics are awesome. I love sports photography, got this really cool Reuter's book of sports photgraphy last year, amazing images in there - as well as traditional sports it's got weird stuff like orangutans in boxing matches and jockeys riding emus. Graet book.
