I always seem to have this idea of what 'good' sci-fi corridor design should look like. So I decided to fiddle about in 3DStudioMax2009 for a while, creating modular sections just for the hell of it. It's all very heavily influenced by Doom3 - still, for me, the touchstone of great SF design aesthetics, but with a heavy dose of Alien thrown in, of course. It's all my own work, btw.

These are all untextured meshes, quite detailed and not suitable for a game engine. This is the kind of thing I do to while away those quiet Sunday afternoons and evenings... :|

Cal,

Why don't you get yourself a half decent PC and start working on some mods?

How would that door open? Are those handles in the middle? Does it slide or does it open up like a normal door? Serious questions.

They look pretty good.

You could bake most of that detail into normal maps, then it would work just fine in a game.
Here's your project for this sunday http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/3d-art/next-gen-weapon-creation-day-1-the-high-poly-model/
