Cheers! :D

I'm glad you've said that actually. I've felt like some of my stuff has been a bit rushed recently, to be honest, so it's nice to have people still think I'm turning out good copy!

Just ignore the typos and grammar mistakes ¬_¬

The results for the scariest game vote are in. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... ght131.xml

Public vote, so don't blame me if you disagree! Although I reckon it's a pretty good list, actually. Cal will be pleased (if he could bring himself to click on a link for the Torygraph of course ;) )

There's a Fallout 3 review on the front page of the games site too.

Not a terrible list by any means but Resi 4 is not scary at all.

Gears of War 2 review - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... xml&page=1

And as a bonus, a rather belated Fable II one too - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... ble104.xml

On the front page, we have a new Mirror's Edge preview and a review of Quantum of Solace.

Few new bits. Banjo review, BioShock DLC hands-on impressions from me.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandte ... dpreviews/

The url telegraph.co.uk/videogames is out of action for the moment, as you can see the site has had a redesign, which has caused all kinds of havoc, including dredging up reviews from way back.

I'd be interested in what people think of the redesign in general actually, personally I can't stand it, but I don't think we were a particularly good looking site in the first place. *shrug*

I was at the Telegraph's offices yesterday with my course, the editor of the Sunday Telegraph is a wanker.

That is all.

I don't think the redesign is too bad, though the text isn't spread out as well as it was before - correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it go a little wider before? With it narrowed down like that, blocks of text look more daunting to read. Generally, it's not too bad though, but only in the sense that the former look was a little plain and now it looks a little more professional (if not really that accessible).

Really nice Shocko impressions, Tom. Did you go to 2K's offices for that?

Yeah, the redesign's not a disaster or anything.

I like the aesthetic of the redesign, but I hate the layout. Particularly on 'hub' pages, complete mess. But I'm glad it's not completely off-putting.

They came to us actually. Al Bickham from 2k's PR, really nice fella. Had a lot of fun on A Shocking Turn of Events. The very first puzzle's a doozy.

PP, you should have hunted me down and said hello!

And there I was thinking it would be GOTY

Hardly unexpected but good job on getting the first review out there.

Boy am I going to regret posting these on here.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandte ... -2008.html

We all love lists right. So here's ours, the 50 best games of the year. Tantalisingly revealed over the course of the week. Today, 50-41 (click the blue link on the page for pix and wordz).

I know there is one game absent from the whole list that some people are going to get very upset about. And if you're after an explanation for any being missing, it's as simple as "We didn't like it enough."

If the missing game is TWEWY or Fable II, then there's going to be moiders.

Not a chance. ;)

I actually think your good self wouldn't bat an eyelid at the biggest omission. But some people are going to want to call me names.
