I originally had it has Blog de Blob.

Then I had to change it to something slightly less obscure. :(

Pure review. I can only apologise for the dreadful paragraphing, which is nothing to do with me. I'm having a meeting today to try and sort out how this stuff looks online, as it's a bit shite at the moment.

Ruining my beautiful prose.

There's also a Dead Space hands-on, written by my colleague, who says it's aces. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... ame126.xml

Nice.

However, no mention of the online mode at all? Why? Is this because you played it on servers dedicated to journos? You could at least have mentioned the number of players supported (I think it's 16), and possibly the game modes as well.

I'm hoping to do something seperate for online, like GamesTM. Time permitting though, it may turn out to be a failed experiment. Thanks for the feedback though, all is welcomed!

Someone got the price wrong there too (it says £49.99), the RRP was £39.99 but most places are selling it for £29.99.

Good review though! I really want to get Pure, but I'm putting it off until after Christmas as I can't afford every game I'd like right now.

Not round here, unfortunately. £34.99 in GAME, for example.

Yeah, that was something else I tried to bring up with the production people. On the 'buy' link that was there it was actually £29.98! I know it sounds like an excuse I'm using again and again, but actually getting the stuff up online is ridiculously laborious and the people who actually do it just don't give a monkeys. :x

I have to admit to getting a little fed up with these little mistakes as it looks a bit amateurish, and I had a moan about it t'other day. We're moving to a new system soon where I can put up the stuff myself. So I'll either A) Avoid mistakes like this or B) Lose my excuse for them.

Oh and by the way, I don't know if anyone actually buys the Telegraph on a Saturday but we've recently added a dedicated videogames page in our Arts & Books section. It's more a push to the online stuff, so it's not anything particularly new or exclusive to the paper. But have a nose if you happen to have the section anyway!

Dearest readers. I've been away for a week so I'm sure you've been desperately waiting for me to update this thread. Worry ye not, I'm back, your life is complete again.

I won't link individual bits and bobs, just a general update for those that are interested. There's a Fracture review and a LittleBIGPlanet feature by colleagues and by yours truly is a Saints Row 2 review plus a few other bits and pieces. As you can see we're still a bit here and there, which probably won't be sorted until management gives us a proper bloody budget in all honesty, but any other feedback is much appreciated.

Enjoyed the Saint's Row 2 review - Agree with the disturbing nature of some of the missions, I thought the use of the chainsaw was a bit much at times!

VOTE FOR YOUR SCARIEST VIDEOGAME - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... ght122.xml

Not an attempt in any way to see how popular we are, here's a cliched yet fun vote for Halloween! Vote for your scariest videogame and we'll post up the public results next Friday along with mine and Nick's choices.

System Shock 2 seems to have had the most votes so far.

Tune in tomorrow for Shigeru Miyamoto and Wii Music goodness.

Right chaps. Bit of an update.

I interviewed Shigeru Miyamoto on Monday, which was pretty surreal to be honest. I still can't believe I'm saying that, actually. Here, I talk to him specifically about Wii Music, including some hands-on impressions- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... wii125.xml

And here, I chat to him about other stuff: the success of the Wii, competitors and third parties- http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/tom_hoggin ... u_miyamoto

Plus, here's a PES 2009 review as a bonus. Hugo perhaps shouldn't read this one- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... ame122.xml

Don't forget to vote for your scariest game too! Should end up a fun little feature for Halloween. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/ma ... l#comments

Lots of love,
Tom Hoggins-McGuffy Experience Scale

Ta muchly. :) The second one is perhaps too long, in retrospect, but I wanted to get as much as he said down.

Was quite an experience meeting him. Was in a stuffy, hot, dim hotel room and he was surrounded by his entourage. Lovely chap though, nice cardigan.
