So yeah, they're opposing games, fighting for FPS supremacy and whatnot but after much debate and contemplation, they're both finally out. Now you've played both (assumedly), which do you enjoy more?

I have to go with MW3 personally. BF3's campaign is average and although the multiplayer is strong and plays well, it just doesn't have the spark CoD games do for me. And MW3 is the best CoD multiplayer since 4 and the campaign is ridiculous but fun as hell.

Discuss and stuff.

I don't really have the interest in MW3 to give an opinion. I've been enjoying Battlefield 3, despite being so obviously unfinished, pretty solidly since release, and I can't see myself getting sick of it any time soon.

For singleplayer? MW3 without a doubt. I don't know why DICE decided to change the formula they had in the excellent Bad Company 1 campaign to the MW clones of Bad Company 2 and BF3.

Multiplayer is no contest, BF3 wins hands down for me. Bigger player count, larger maps, destruction, guns actually have recoil, vehicles, aircraft, emphasis on teamwork etc. There are a few niggling problems but once they have been improved via patching, I can see it being up there with TF2 as one of the best multiplayer games ever.

OK, yeah, this is a big one.

The guns in Call of Duty (only played MW2) are all rail guns. It's pretty ridiculous.

Not played MW3, but if it's anything like MW2 I'm out.

BF3 all the way.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I prefer Modern Warfare 3's single and multiplayer.

I enjoy the more frantic play style of MW3, and the fact I can dip in and out easily with short games. I traded Battlefield 3 in today for Skyrim.

Bad Company 1 was strawberry floating brilliant, mostly because it was dripping in personality though.

Nope, it was great. The complete opposite of MW at the time. Great setting with large wide open levels where you could handle an objective in a number or ways, memorable cast of main characters with a genuinely funny script and one of the best soundtracks this gen.

I thought the campaign from Bad Company was great for the same reasons. I hope they revisit this style again at some point in the future.
