Gameplay sucks. I'm still waitin' on my copy. And they claim to have dispatched it, so they've charged me and I can't just cancel it and get it from someplace that sucks less.

Damn! If you can afford it, you should pick a copy up from Tescos.

When you get the Gameplay copy, you can return that one sealed back to Tescos. You have 28 days no questions asked returns there.

Well, I've finished the Autobot campaign, a good half of the way through the Decepticon campaign, and I've found multiplayer to be lacking in players.

I'm probably a bad person to ask though. I'm pretty much incapable of reviewing a Transformers game objectively and impartially. I've really enjoyed the time I've spent on this , though that has as much do with with listening to Frank Welker play Megatron and unlocking the G1 based deco for Ironhide as actual gameplay. But the vehicle/giant robot dichotomy is fun to play with too.

Some further thoughts. Multiplayer needs some work. The heart of an enjoyable game is there, but it needs more structure. There's not nearly enough customisability for my tastes - can't choose to prevent certain Transformers from appearing in the list, for starters. The maps are too small too. It's VERY VERY easy to get into a situation where one team can dominate the general area where the other team spawns, especially if the teams aren't balanced to begin with, or if a player drops out early on.

Ideally, I'd like to see further objectives, like stockpiling Energon, CTF style, to be able to spawn your team's Leader. So Energon would spawn randomly across the map, and you'd have to pick it up (like the humans in the single player campaign, preventing you from using your weapons). And perhaps a team-based energon score that is used to "buy" respawns as progressively larger 'bots and 'cons, in a manner that prevents most of the Decepticon team from spawning as Megatrons and ass raping you from a huge distance while you're busy trying not to be killed by Grindor and Sideways.

I think the bigger maps, and more varied spawn-points are the biggie, though. You NEED to be able to spawn in a place that isn't camped to strawberry float by the enemy. I'd probably also do something with the radar, so perhaps it only shows the general direction of enemy contacts - no range information.

I think pretty much everyone got it on the 360. And don't even play it there.

DLC is out for this soon I think.

It's got some MP featured, so I'll be playing online again when I get my copy back.
