Our plan is to record weekly with as regular a cast as we can manage. We'll start off with a currently playing segment before moving on to a weekly topic. If there's a big enough news story we'll discuss that too so long as it won't be too dated by the time the podcast goes live. We record on Wednesdays with a view to making the episode available on Thursdays.
Quote:
This week Ben Skipper (Skippy), Chris Smith (Suzzopher), James Bowden (Dalagonash) and Kris Agrawal (Cuttooth) are joined by Tom Hartwell (Cosmo) to talk Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, Persona 4 Arena, Donkey Country Returns 3D and Monaco. We then try our best to get sued discussing our topic of the week, the delightful world of games journalism!
Playing us out is the menu theme from Donkey Kong Country Returns
Time Stamps Soul Sacrifice - 4:00 Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move - 5:09 Covenant of Solitude - 10:27 Velocity Ultra - 12:48 Persona 4 Arena - 15:20 Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - 19:36 Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D - 24:00 Monaco: What's Mine Is Yours - 32:00 Topic of the Week - Games Journalism - 46:40
This week Ben Skipper, James Bowden, Kris Agrawal and Chris Smith talk Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Game Dev Tycoon, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Injustice: Gods Among Us before moving on to our topic for the week, the games that defined our childhoods.
Playing us out is It Has To Be This Way from the Metal Gear Rising soundtrack.
Due to a recording error this week's podcast is a lot shorter than usual. Ben's audio wasn't recorded but we've salvaged what we can. So here's discussion of Super Mario 3D Land, Dishonored, Fire Emblem Awakening and Soul Sacrifice from Chris Smith, James Bowden and Kris Agrawal.
Playing us out is Survival from the Dishonored soundtrack
This week Ben Skipper (Skippy), James Bowden (Dalagonash) and Chris Smith (Suzzopher) are joined by Dat Maf Matthew Francis to talk the hilarious Guacamelee, the hilariously bad Double Dragon 2: Wander of the Dragons, Fire Emblem: Awakening on the 3DS, the new maps available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate and LEGO City Undercover. We then, off the back of yesterday's amazing Nintendo Direct, talk all things Ninty.
Playing us out is the main theme from Fire Emblem: Awakening.
This week Ben Skipper (Skippy), Kris Agrawal (Cuttooth) and James Bowden (Dalagonash) are joined by Tom Hartwell (Cosmo) because Chris Smith (Suzz) has a sore throat (Tonsillitis). This week we do away with currently playing and focus on Bioshock Infinite. Yep, this is a spoilercast so if you're at all concerned about having Irrational's epic spoiled, stay well away!
Playing us out is the gorgeous cover of Tainted Love made for the game.
This week Ben Skipper (Skippy), Chris Smith (Suzzopher), James Bowden (Dalagonash) and Kris Agrawal (Cuttooth) talk God of War: Ascension, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Lego Marvel Super Heroes, going off on a serious tangent about tea and our twisted vision for the next Luigi's Mansion adventure in between.
We then move on to our topic for the week to discuss our favourite gaming moments from this generation including multiple moments from the works of Bethesda, taking a call in No More Heroes, two of Halo 3's most memorable set pieces and DARK SOULS.
Playing us out is Luigi himself, humming the theme from the original Luigi's Mansion.
Starring Ben Skipper (Skippy), Chris Smith (Suzzopher), James Bowden (Dalagonash) and Kris Agrawal (Cuttooth) in our first episode we head to Columbia in Bioshock Infinite, bust ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 2 and discuss why I was so wrong to like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate as much as I did . There's also talk of FTL - Faster Than Light and Persona 4 Golden.
We then talk about the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and our topic of the week, which is next gen. We discuss how well Sony are doing, how they might screw it up, what Microsoft will have to do to make it a proper fight and talk about the launch line-ups of the future consoles.
Playing us out is Dracula's Castle/Alucard's theme from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as chosen by James

Its easily one of the best 3DS games around.
I'm about half way through and enjoying it immensely, people who have problems with the game's structure need to shut up. Just because its not one massive map doesn't mean its badly designed. It might not be the best Castlevania ever, but it is one of the best.

Is there going to be plans for a feed for this so I can download to my phone?
I too would like to know this.
I don't know how to go about making this happen. Can anyone help me out?
Just make up a quick Wordpress or Tumblr site so you get an RSS feed, then you can submit it to iTunes as well. That's what I did with the previous two podcasts on here

Would I have to upload the file to that site? Because the storage limits are what stopped me doing that with this first episode.

PM Karlprof or Green Gecko and see if they can set up a folder on the GRcade server, that's what we used before. That way you'll be able to upload the podcast straight there using any FTP program (e.g. Filezilla).

Sorted then. I know I'll never listen to it unless I can have it on my phone for when I'm out walking.

Oh yes. I swear as soon as I got home every night from college it'd be Me, You, Aaron, TragicM, Schminky and a few others just always on it. I'd be scared to play it again now and ruin my memories of it I think.
