Bought the Olympics game on the request of my GF as she thought it would be a nice casual game to play together.

Wrong. This game grabs your nuts and won't let go. It is solid! In the end she got frustrated and had a barney! Thanks a lot Olympics.

I think that this should have been a casual game that anyone could play like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. What other games are there on the 360/ps3 that she may like?

360 - f**k all.

On PS3 you've got Buzz & Singstar, can't go wrong with those. Rub-A-Dub can be a laugh for a half hour or so.

I posted a similar post a few weeks back and got flamed instantly by people saying I must have been simply crap at the game. After a full run through of the Olympics mode (even maxing out my athletes stats) and numerous hours playing it, I have broken a few WR's but not many. A 'casual' gamer would have no chance at the achievements.

I was playing it when you messeged me.

It was not long after that I suffered my GF's wrath.

Games she has liked so far:

Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Spiderman Friend or Foe
Scene It.

I bought Buzz for her and she likes it, but I win all the time so its for when people come to visit only

Easy.

The Lego games. Indy, Star Wars or soon to be Batman.

Loads of fun and easy to pick up. The difficulty level is just right too.

My bird loved it.

You say that about the current olympics games, go back and look at Track and Feild, my god to win one event in that you had to wear your fingers down to the bone. It was hard as nails.

It wasn't though. It was miles easier due to the more simplistic controls. Also the WR's were a lot easier. I could get 100m times of under 7.5 sec quite often. Getting under 9.9 secs in Beijing isn't common.

Got any achievements out of it yet Samoza?

I have really enjoyed the Bejing 2008 game. Olypmic Mode can be unforgiving at times but all in all the best Atheltics game in a long time

Except some of the control requirements of M&S at T'Olympics are so unintuitive that they bare to semblenceto the sport they are supposedly replicating. Another missed wiimote oportunity.
