I downloaded the OST to my iPhone this morning (as well as the credits song from ME1) and I must admit it almost brought a little tear to my eye. As fantastic as ME3's soundtrack is (and it really is) Vigil will always be my fav ME track:



When you hear it on the Ilos elevator, passing by hundreds of expired Prothean life-pods...shivers, man.

Listening to the soundtracks I've just realised it's actually over now and that was the ending of a trilogy :cry: somebody hold me.

You don't need multiplayer to get the "best" ending. The number being quoted is to get the tiny bonus cutscene at the end of the credits. You can get it without multi, but it's not easy, and depends on choices from the previous two games.

You get it if you complete NG+ as well.

Not sure if this has ever been posted, but I personally think this guy's up there with the likes of Hayter and North :wub:

I prefer the version of that tune which plays during the credits. It has a slightly slower tempo and just sounds a lot more rich. Or maybe it's the same and it just had more impact because I'd just realised the trilogy was finished.

I honestly have no idea, that last section is a clusterfuck. I've seen so many people say they didn't know what they were doing when they staggered over to a terminal and pressed activate :lol: what a memorable end to an amazing trilogy :cry:

Alright so I chose to control the Reapers and destroyed the mass relays, which I thought happened if you chose destroy :fp:, how different are the other endings ?

All the ending are virtually identical.
The mass relays get destroyed and the Normandy crashes on that planet in all three.

The war with synthetics angle actually does make sense. The idea is that Reapers will not allow an end to biological life, though they harvest it, whereas other synthetic life would wipe out biological life.
