I would have said that FIFA 07 was the turning point in the series.

I think the main fifa game should include this as a subgame and not have a separate release, because i think the game has really stagnated for the last few years and as such they have lost my custom.

I might give the demo a download if i can find it.

A Torrent of Thoughts

FIFA 07 was the first game to use the current engine, which should also be enough for the next gen.

I'm happy with the direction the series is taking and each year they manage to improve every area, even when you were already happy with it.

The main change I'd now like is the player model shapes (forearms too long etc...) and non-gameplay animations to be brought up to PES standard, but I think they'll wait til the next gen for that now.

It's not my cup of tea. I want to pass the ball around and score a goal, but the game prefers you to hog the ball and perform some awesome tekkers....

Which I suppose is the point of the game. But it's not for me.

It seems too focused on doing outrageous skillz when really, much like Stu, I'd just like to play a normal game of 5-a-side.

I only played one match but based on that it feels like it should be an XBLA/PSN game than a full priced game.

Been getting some solid 7s and 8s as the reviews have dropped today, don't know whether to shell out for it now or wait a couple of months for it to drop. Probably the latter tbh. More than happy with FIFA 12 at the current time.

Played the demo. Not really for me.

Plus I find all these tricks with all these button combinations thoroughly confusing. Like someone's passed me a controller for the first time & I don't know what the strawberry float I'm supposed to be doing.

Bit of both. "fusbal" is more like indoor football and not so much tricks involved. That's the only mode I play mind.

Avoid this at all cost (even super cheap). It is terrible and you can barely score goals due to the superhuman goal keepers.
