Could've done without the Shepard part tbh. CGI just looked really awkward on those parts.

Nope, that's only in 'safe' areas. If you're anywhere where you will be facing enemies it is locked.

You could press it in combat areas to holster in ME2. You can't in ME3, Bioware have admitted to this.

Currently at the most important decision in ME1...who to bone.

Liara was the only choice for me. Because it wouldn't let me shag the young and impressionable Tali.

First ME3 Review from Germany
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/33 ... t-verdict/

Summary of the key points

- 15-20 hour-long main quest
- Around 40 hours playtime in total- side missions are vital to amass enough opposition to the Reaper threat
- 90 minutes of cutscenes
- No loose ends or cliffhangers, the game is truly an appropriate end to the trilogy with a very intense and touching finale
- More than 100 scenes, conversations and/or events change depending on our choices after importing a save-game from ME2- from something small like someone thanking us for completing a mission to bigger repercussions which would be to spoilerous to write down- you are definitely going to feel the consequences, and not always like them
- If and how many of these quests we complete influences how the game ends, and who- individually and globally- survives
- While the game can be enjoyable for newcomers as well, because the game is strong on its own mechanically and story-wise, it is recommended to play the first two entries to make more sense out of the wealth of information that the game builds on
- There's an interesting sequence after the end credits
- The Role-Play mode of the game (In contrast to Action and Story) feels very much like ME1
- The game gives you more opportunity to customize your Shepard. Each class has 8 talents with 6 levels each, and up from Level 4 there are two branches to choose from to level up each individual talent differently. Weapon customization is also a factor and noticeable, but the effects (which have both pros and cons) are only marginal
- Balancing isn't optimal
- The game is noticeably more difficult up from Medium", which makes using the correct weapon mods and talents integral to survive. Shepard also shoots more accurately in cover.
- The AI, on the other hand, is still not very advanced
- There are multiple turret sections which aren't very well directed
- Despite the shortcomings in level design, which are similar to ME2, the game is constantly thrilling, spectacular and dramatic- largely thanks to the well-presented story and dialogue- and there are lot of small and large choices again to ponder on
- Scanning isn't nearly as repetitive as before, because it works a lot quicker now and incorporates a new mini-game where you have to navigate your ship away from Reaper threat
- The new melee option is fun, but a little overpowered
- Graphically, the low polycount, lack of detail and low texture resolution disappoints- the characters are well animated and modeled however, and the overall look, despite its age, is quite moody
- Great dynamic soundtrack and sound-effects
- Our progress in the war effort is constantly trackable on a terminal on the Normandy

It's weird. People are claiming that this article/info is from a magazine preview, yet they go in depth about the ending and whatnot. Yet there's no review score or anything (which this magazine usually has at the end of reviews).

Regardless though there's some very positive and one or two negative things there as expected. Sounds like the story is going to be top quality. They are obviously quite impressed with the gameplay even if the levels are of similar design to ME2's, so maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Think I dun goofed somewhere in my romance choice for ME1. Chatted up both Ashley & Liara but because of certain dialogues I chose the confrontation you have with them both never happened. Now the game has decided Liara is the romance when I intended to go with Ash.

Not even into the second game and Shep's seeing the repercussions of being a playa! Oh well, Liara's awesome anyway.

Trying to give ME1 another chance. It's one of the "Big" franchises of this generation I've never really spent much time with. So all the hype for ME2 and now ME3 has kinda washed over me.

So yeah, luckily Steam kept my saves from the last time I played so I managed to pick up where I left off. I wasn't too far into it. Out looking for the Cipher and Saren.

Finished of Feros (The Thorian) and saved Liara from the Prothean dig site. I'm now about to attack Sarens lab on some other planet where he apparently has cured the Krogan Genophage. Which is nice. :D

I've already dealt with Benezia, though I thought she'd be about far longer than she was.

How much more is there to the main game, if I ignore sidequests and stuff? I really just want to see the main story so I can move onto 2.

But yeah, great game. :D

Folders and save names have to follow the same format.

You've probably only got two or three missions left. If you've done the Thorian and Benezia there's just the Salarian one, a bit at the Citadel and then the last mission left.

It's still quite long though if I remember? Especially the illiam bit with the salarians? I reckon 4-5 hours still with all the dialogue?

I finished the arrival at the weekend, rather good! Although their reminded me how incredibly linear it at all was. Still excited for 3, I want to see how it all ends.

GAME Group will not be stocking any EA games past SSX, including Mass Effect 3, Eurogamer has discovered.

Eurogamer has corroborated this information with individual GAME Group stores. The last stocked EA game will be SSX, we were told.

If you have a pre-order, GAME will refund you via in-store credit, rather than with cash.

HMV told Eurogamer it couldn't comment on a competitor's situation, but confirmed it would be stocking Mass Effect 3 and the rest of EA's titles.

EA and GAME Group haven't responded to Eurogamer's request for comment.

FYI.

Play.com are now the only place I can find still listing the N7 Collectors Edition for pre-order. The other sites mentioned in the article don't list it.
