What is Just Dance 3 like on kinnect? In terms of the body mapping and moves etc how does it compare to Dance central 2?

Ive already got Dance central, its just that the track listing for just dance 3 looks alot better.

My girls have all 3 in the house, but they have not played Just Dance yet. I'll try and get them on it later and let you know.

You got Rabbids Harry? I see it on your play list. What is your opinion? The demo was not great.

Have you got Winter Stars?

Apparently Just Dance 3 only tracks 2D silhouettes, hence why it can support 4 players simultaneously.

Rabbids is mini-games all the way, but I have enjoyed all the ones I have played. That said I enjoyed two of the three mini-games on the demo (whack a rabbid and the guitar hero clone) so I might not be that fussy :shifty: . I have kids in the house who have had friends round which helps any mini-game collection go with a bang.

Winter stars is on the way from gamestation. Aside from Your Shape 2012, the other kinect game I have played over Christmas is a bit out of left field. Cabela's Adventure camp. Not much content, but what there is works well and is fun. Game did have it for £9.99 (although it went out of stock quickly) and at that price it would be worth it just for the easy achievements.

Only had a quick go on Just Dance 3, but the song collection is fun and my daughter beat me which is a sign that the game is tracking something reasonably well. We tried the 4 player option and you do not needed ridiculous amounts of space. But the people playing do need to be quite disciplined in staying in their own area, which is not always that easy on a dance game.

Just a heads up for anyone looking for the Gunstringer, it is currently £15 in-store Sainsburys. It is cheaper at shopto (just) but for those who like a rash purchase .... :wub:

I have to say, of all the kinect games that we've had on the go over Christmas, Kinect Disneyland is a bit special. I've not actually played it yet but my girls just adore roaming the park and occasionally playing one of the rides. My guess is that it is a little like the last Frontier game (Kinectimals), a little bit repetitive, but the game world is so well realised for kids that I am sure my girls will play it over and over.

Had a first play on Winter Stars yesterday. Having cutscenes and a story, however generic and daft it is, certainly gives the game a different feel to most other kinect fare. You start off playing toboggan, figure skating, biathlon and down hill, with other events unlocking thereafter. At this stage I had family mode switched on which more or less does everything for you so it was relatively easy to progress and to be honest, this mode is so assisted you probably only need to stand upright to progress. After that family mode deactivated and the difficulty and interaction was transformed.

What you do need to do with this game is learn the controls. Although some of them are intuitive, lean when skiing etc, not all of them are and you need to use things like your adranline meter to progress. But certainly what I found with family mode turned off was that this will be both an engaging and challenging game. Lots of content and some of the races take quite a while to complete.

Not played enough of the events to discover how many are good and how many are not, but certainly my first go at some snowboarding challenge with tricks thrown in suggests there will be stuff here that I like. I post more impressions when I have had chance to play some more.

I need to get back on this but I did like what I played, especially once you become more involved in the events. I sucked at the skiing though, not sure yet why, that's the event I have yet to get the hang of. The Boarding and tricks are good fun and will definitely take me time to master.

I played a bit of kinect over the weekend.

I tried the Just dance 3 demo.

Positives;
The song selection is definately alot more poppy than dance central. the front end is exactly the same as DC with all the "sweep" menu system. Its good that you get the song lyrics, but its hard to follow if your trying to dance at the same time. It seems easier than DC so its perhaps more accessable and more fun.
Negatives;
You dont get much onscreen feedback as to if your doing well or what your doing badly, not as good as DC. Also i like in DC how the moves are named but in JD they arent. Even though its more accessable you dont get as much of a sence of satisfaction as with DC.

On a whole im glad i bought DC2 instead. Although i might pick up the full game when im feeling rich, its already at about £20ish so its not too bad i suppose. DC2 is pretty much more of the same.

I also got Your shape 2012. Its very good. the body tracking is excellent, even coming out of DC2. There seems to be just enough routines and varied stuff here than the previous game to give the impression that its worth the investment. Also the push button menu system is also very good - imo it puts all the other kinect menus to shame.

The skipping mini-game on Your shape 2012 is some of the most fun that we had over Christmas! I got battered by my wife and daughter number 1 though. :cry:

A first video demonstrating Tiger Woods 13 and kinect has been posted. Standing front on, rather than side on (ala KS2) should better enable you to control power. How you hit anything other than a dead straight shot (like in KS2) is not clear in the video.
