Actually Sony is co-developing the game with Square-Enix, therefore, this game will be exclusive on PS4.

Square-Enix renamed Versus to FF15 in the middle of this process. Sony’s studios are helping SE with FF15 assets among other tasks.

We hinted this PS4 exclusive one month ago, but we couldn’t speak freely about this topic. Now, it’s all that we can say.

Couldn't give a gooseberry fool if it was exclusive and made solely by Square but with Sony's involvement, colour me interested. More so in that Versus actually looked semi-decent.

So it's just Versus renamed? You have to wonder how much money Square Enix and Sony (if this rumour is correct) have pissed away on that game. PLEASE BE EXCITED!

SquareEnix need to just give up on the MMO market. XIV was terrible and XI was just boring with a terrible combat system.

Well... this is a rumour. FFXIII was 'exclusive' to PS3 until it wasn't and came out on 360. At the PlayStation press conference last month Square-Enix didn't mention anything about an exclusive. And I cannot see any financial sense for a big company to keep a AAA title as a format exclusive. It could well happen with Gears of War being on the next Xbox (for whatever reason) but maybe not with this. Although Versus XIII was promised as an exclusive and Sony money would give them a say.

I do hope that XIV quickly comes to PS4.

People still cling to the hope that Final Fantasy is a good franchise. Just looking at that Final Fantasy X remaster topic on GAF to see people really do like eating gooseberry fool twice :dread:

I'm more interested in Sonys involvement than anything else, they really could make the franchise relevant again. That or decent voice acting is all I'm asking for right now.

So they complain about struggling to make money on their games then piss away a load of money on XIV & Versus and then decide to make Versus exclusive to one console and rename it FFXV.

They're not brilliant at this. :fp:
