How does it end? I thought the first two games were brilliant but lost interest soon after - psychological horror isn't really my thing.

I was just reading the Silent Hill wiki and apparently
the baby Harry gets at the end of 1 is the reincarnation of Cheryl who was originally created when Alessa 'split her soul'. I never "got" that from playing the game, the game didn't really explain it very well.
I never even knew Cheryl was adopted or that it was her idea to visit Silent Hill. Actually IIRC the opening sequence is played
before you choose "new game" so I never actually realised it was the opening sequence and didn't watch it for ages. I love that it's not all explained and you have to work a lot of stuff out for yourself but there is no way I ever would have figured that all out myself. Looking forward to the HD collection now anyway, might even see if the film improves with a second watch. Oh and Downpour looks OK.
