I remember I was dying then I returned to the bloody room.

I don't know what's going on as my character suddenly dropped dead as soon the room is loaded up. There's something there which got breathed in and suddenly killed me.

I spent 10 hours on it and I can't be arsed to go back to the strawberry floating start.

I'm really liking the look of it, the monsters come off as quite creepy.

One thing I didn't like about the trailer though, was the lack of a catchy lyrical song. All the other game trailers had Mary Elizabeth songs, I was kind of hoping Dan Licht would have done something similar. :(

SH2 and 3 remastered in HD! Also Silent Hill Book of Memories for the new PSP.

Don't worry, Korn are doing the theme tune.

I've been waiting for this for years. Literally the best news of E3 this year.

Now excuse me whilst I change my underwear.

Watching the two walkthrough videos on GameTrailers, it looks to be a vast improvement over Homecoming. It feels atmospheric, something I felt Homecoming lacked. Can't wait to see more.

Maybe this is what Konami contacted Guy Cihi (James Sunderland voice actor) about last year.

KONAMI will also celebrating the past of the Silent Hill range, with the release of The Silent Hill HD Collection for PlayStation 3, which brings the acclaimed Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 bang up to date, with all new enhancements and high-definition graphics. The games have been completely reworked, with all-new voice talent, and the addition of PlayStation®Network Trophies. The Silent Hill HD Collection will be released in Q4.

I'm all for voice acting being improved, but the original V.A for Sunderland pretty much made the character :( Can't even imagine a different person playing him.

personally i dont think SH2 needs to be remade. t was a phenomenal game that still looks good even by todays standards. They need to focus on moving the series forward instead of revisiting past glories. and we all know how it ends now too, so it wouldnt have the same impact a second time

How does it end? I thought the first two games were brilliant but lost interest soon after - psychological horror isn't really my thing.

I hate to spoil it but:

It turns out that a dog sat in a control room was behind it all. The monsters, and everything.

Wtf

I was just reading the Silent Hill wiki and apparently the baby Harry gets at the end of 1 is the reincarnation of Cheryl who was originally created when Alessa 'split her soul'. I never "got" that from playing the game, the game didn't really explain it very well. I never even knew Cheryl was adopted or that it was her idea to visit Silent Hill. Actually IIRC the opening sequence is played before you choose "new game" so I never actually realised it was the opening sequence and didn't watch it for ages. I love that it's not all explained and you have to work a lot of stuff out for yourself but there is no way I ever would have figured that all out myself. Looking forward to the HD collection now anyway, might even see if the film improves with a second watch. Oh and Downpour looks OK.

I thought there were slightly different endings to SH2 depending on how it played out? I've not played SH3, but I'm happy to go through SH2 again in HD and with trophies. Love the music so a pretty good package.
