Only think I've really seen on this is the achievements, which have me very interested in how the game is going to be played out

Mainly because of the Sidequest achievements.

Looking forward to this. However with SHC and Naruto out on the same day, it won't get much of a play in for a few weeks - should release SHC a week or two before (i.e.; this upcoming friday) just to wet the appetite

I've seen the sidequests described as being similar to that of Deadly Premonition, in that they are "half the experience" and really add to the world and lore. Has me interested greatly.

Trying hard not to get too excited but multiple sources over at GAF claim Downpour to be nearly on par with the original trilogy, or at least "the best western developed one."

The impressions seem to be genuinley good, which I doubt will translate well into professional site reviews as this series rarely scores too well but the general impression so far is that the combat is a bit iffy with everything else meeting or exceeding expecations, especially the exploration and sidequest system.

This could actually be pretty special for us fans.

Gonna wait til Downpour is cheap before I buy it. Purely for money's sake. I'd love to get it on release but why bother when it'll be cheap in a couple of months? Getting Silent Hill 2 and 3 HD on release though, seeing as I got it for £19.

A nice 4.5 from IGN I see. A bit harsh from them if you ask me.



A more balanced 7.5 from gamespot.

This looks very good, but what I can't understand is why the game is not yet out in the UK - YouTube is crawling with playthrough videos, so I'm guessing our North American cousins have the game already.

I'd really like to know how the game's publishers think they are making any kind of sensible choice by delaying the UK release until the the 30th March? Beggars belief.

I've always enjoyed Silent Hill so I'll certainly pick it up at some point.

I'm the same, I'd love to support it on release but is prime for Zavvi Mega Monday in a months time. Lots of RPGs to play just now anyway. Looking forward to it, looks good.

I've cancelled my order. Can only afford 2-3 games next month and I know that I'll love and get a lot of play time out of SH HD, so am going for that instead.

Will defiantly pick up when cheap because I loved Homecommings and that seemed to get panned a lot before release
