Longer? People plug 40/50 hours into G/S before they're done with all the main challenges, Pokemon is fine without some overbearing cataclysmic storyline shoe horned in...

That said it would be nice if the new ones, like G/S, give you more an impression of being the Pokemon champion.

I'm all for being able to design my own trainer. It'd help to personalise the journey a bit.

I can't quite believe it, but I'm really very excited about Black and White at this early stage. Looking at the Japanese logo makes me wish that local Pokemon games would drop the yellow and blue logo they've been using up till now; I like the sleek Japanese version. (Though I feel weird saying that, given I used to somewhat slate the Japanese logo back in the Red/Blue days.)

Most of that ONM article is over enthusiastic bullshit, some of which go directly against the very gameplay foundations of the game. More than four moves? Keep that kind of stupid remark to the forums.

Apparently that was initially planned for one of the earlier generations, but got shitcanned.

Pokemon Black outsourced to Capcom, where the game is set deep in Africa and the protagonist is a white man catching black creatures. New items include leather whip. Pokemon White also from Capcom, again the protagonist is white but he captures Spanish creatures in a land mainly populated by white people. This will even out the furore created with Pokeblack.

Well, it would be nice to have a pokemon game where you can go to all of the regions from the handheld games.

ONM just took the "best" of the comments from their forums, and since most of the people there are kids it's no surprise it's full of dream requests that probably wouldn't actually work. When Pokemon first came out we all wanted those same things, right? :lol:

My personal pet-peeve is the requests for multiple regions. That one hasn't ever made much sense to me. Why would you want them to spend time building two inferior regions when they could instead build one super region? I'd rather they put all their effort into an awesome new area, rather than splitting their resources and having to cut stuff just so they can build another region.

EDIT - Well that was badly timed. :lol: I still love you, StayDead. :wub:

EDIT 2 - They should let you be a Gym Leader as a little side thing. It would be pretty awesome. :lol:

Being able to enter a Championship after getting the badges wouldn't be a bad idea. Once you have won the Championship then you would go on to battle the Elite Four. You would be able to play in the Championship again either each week or month but you would end up facing different opponents with different Pokemon so you would never know whether your line up will turn out to be a good choice or bad one.

6 moves instead of 4 meaning you could either just have 1 HM whore or the ability to give some decent Pokemon an HM move and still have room for some decent normal moves as well.

It wouldn't be so bad if after you've 'cut' down a tree or 'rock smashed' a rock out the way that it stays like that. I mean, these things are only to stop you progressing too far into the game at times, but once you know the move and have the ability to use it outside of battle, then the trees and rocks then become redundant. Also, it's not like you cut a tree down, go into a house then come back out and the tree has miraculously strawberry floating grown back. Or is there someone running about planting trees and heaving boulders all over Pokéland just after you've got rid of them?

I would like the following:

1- Fully customation your trainer. Clothes, hair, eyes, age, gender everything. I never really liked idea of starting as kid, which is why I liked Colosseu on GC - you start off as older teenager.
2- Keep exploration 2D-with-3D look, but have 3D battles. Probably will never happen, but hey.
3- Reduce HMs to at least five. Or, let us forget them easily without having to get HM Deleter to do their job.
4- Either Team Rocket, or Team that's interesting as Team Rocket. Ru/Sa has lamest 'evil teams', and D/P was worst.
5- Stealth Rock to be nerfed. It's silly that Butterfree, Charizard & Moltres etc getting whooping 50% dmg when switched in.
6- Get rid of grid system, and let us walk/run in all directions.
7- Bring back V.S. Seeker, or at least let all trainers to re-fight at anytime.
8- Co-op.
9- Wi-fi to have more features. Customation rules, 2 Trainers Vs 2 Trainers, Set Level (So if you want forceset Lv30, you can), simple item trading.
10- 'Mailbox' system, maybe? Will need use Wi-Fi feature but this allows swapping of mail over Wi-Fi, which would be nice.
11 - Make legendaries interesting again. I don't know about you, but I always liked stories of legendaries. It's just in Ru/Sa you get "robotic" animals, then in D/P it's "robotic" some kind of space/time/god, which I don't really like. I'd like Black/White to feature animal-based, less robotic legendaries again.
12 - Finally, even if it's covered in HG/SS, let us fight gym leaders again. It's silly how we could only fight them once or twice, then never be able to fight them again.

Well that's all... yeah I'm going to disappoint myself. :lol:

Regenerating obstacles would be less annoying if the HM "move"s were items instead of Pokemon moves.

Cut= Axe
Fly= Jetpack/Teleporter
Surf= Inflatable dinghy
Rock Smash= Pickaxe
Etc

They already have the "You're Pokemon won't respect you past Level 30 if you don't have this badge" so they could easily change it to "Now that you have this Badge, your Flying Pokemon respect you enough to fly you anywhere."

Just let all water Pokemon surf, and all flying Pokemon fly, and all strong Pokemon use Strength, once you've got the badges. It's the inability to remove them easily that always annoys me. They're basically punishing you for training a team and exploring at the same time.

It's probably more likely that they'll just move HMs to abilities rather than moves, so you still teach them to Pokemon but they don't take up a move slot anymore.
