Ditto. The gameplay looks fantastic, but I still can't get behind the story and presentation. Am I the only one who thought those "dynamic" comic panels looked bloody awful? Like an overly flashy 24.

As if you aren't just going to pirate this day 1.

I have no problem with the look of the game. I think it looks incredible. . Noir doesn't always have to be dark and grim looking; see Chinatown for example, one of the most renowned noir movies and most of it is set in the bright LA sunshine.

It does not, however, star an overweight man running around Rio in a Hawaiian shirt.

I don't think noir has anything to do with fashion styles, nor setting. Look at some of the gooseberry fool the characters wear in Blade Runner.

True, it's all about ambience and atmosphere and that's something they've not highlighted in the trailers as yet. We'll see.

That's Neo-Noir.

I sort of wish this was a new IP. It looks like brilliant fun but it doesn't feel like Max Payne based on the trailers released so far. When the game comes out, I might be proven wrong but it just seems a little too b-movie. I know the first games were very b-movie but I'm sure someone else will agree with me and be able to word it better than I.

The noir aspect doesn't seem to flow as natural as the other ones.

Never really bothered with the first two Max Payne games (though I have them).

This looks really, really good though. You are nuts if you think theres something wrong with where they have taken it.

You never bothered with the first two therefore your opinion is now invalid.

How can you even you make a statement like that if you've "never really bothered" with the first two games... seriously

Quite easily. I never really bothered with them, because quite frankly, they were gooseberry fool. This looks a lot better.

Despite all of your batshit comments in the past, I would have still had you down as a gamer like the rest of us. But in all honesty, it really does appear your more of a game buyer.
