I just wonder that they’ve got cooked up as the next 3D Mario. Been replaying Sunshine again on the Series S recently and it’s an itch I’d buy a Switch 2 to scratch.

Honestly wouldn’t be against a touch screen being an optional extra to use in handheld mode, as then they can port DS games to the console and have them still be played as intended. They could awkwardly make it attach to the new joycon grip so you can play them docked as well, it’d be awkward, but I’d take a little bit awkward if we started to get some of the best selling DS and 3DS catalogue ported to the Switch.

With the tech jump between OG Switch to Switch 2, it honestly could look close to Pixar quality. Plus, with the extra oomph of the machine I’m sure Nintendo can really create something special.
The next Mario, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing games should all look amazing to be honest, the style of these looks great on the current Switch, as you said, it could move ever closer to a real life Pixar film (though I think we’re a bit away from that yet), Metroid Prime will be the graphic focused title at launch, still expect it to be a good looking game on the current Switch, MP Remastered looked great, possibly the best looking game on the platform.
I’ll be really interested in how 3rd party games support looks on the Switch 2, we’ve had some amazing ports to the Switch in its time, so it’ll be good to see if we get anything equally amazing at the Switch 2 launch.
MonolithSoft is going to be exciting to see, think that they pulled off Xenoblade X on Wii U and Xenoblade 3 on Switch, imagine what they will do with more power.
Zelda team too, will they aim for a new art style, perhaps closer to the Wii U reveal trailer?
Honestly I just hope the increase in power allows for flawless 1080p/60fps in every first party game and allows everyone else to put more games on the system utilising DLSS.

I was wondering that about Zelda. Whether they'd go for full reinvention or just aim for something closer to the Wii U reveal which they obviously couldn't pull in an open world game with the power they had.
I think Nintendo games should reach 1080p/60fps in most cases, 3rd parties I could still see be on 30fps especially as we move into late PS5/early PS6 territory. I’d expect the support from 3rd parties to be on par if not a bit better than current Switch.
Square Enix dropped today, a lot of info and numbers but this part is relevant to Switch 2

Could mean we see the likes of FF7 Remake/Rebirth on Switch 2
Haven't Square been disappointed by Rebirth sales? Would make sense to try to get it onto as many platforms as possible although won't that be a big ask of Switch 2?

Wasn't the rumour that Switch 2 was demoed to developers with it running Remake?
