I'd like to see the cast opened up -- I'm sure Aaron would veto my appearance in the cast, but nonetheless it would be shame, I think, to have it be the Aaron Buff Maf and Suzz Show week-in week-out when it could be a bit more varied, over time representing a larger cross-section of the forum.

I agree that more diversity will be needed to appeal to more of the forum.

Would people here want us to use topics from the forum to talk about? Or what other directions would you like to see it?

One from the forum and one you guys come up with yourselves. Retrospective and debate creation.

Aye -- I'd like to see Aaron as a consistent chair, though, he does it quite well. No reason why there can't be consistent and recurring guests, too -- just a bit of a mix-up so that it won't be the same every week/fortnight/whenever. :)

I think if you have a general podcast thread, that could handle people saying they might be interested in making an appearance, and could also handle if people think they have a good topic they'd like you to discuss or whatever. There should definitely be bits that you've just thought up by yourselves, though, the surprise is nice!

It would be good to have a different guest contributor each 'cast. Keep the Chair and two regs consistent (listeners like regular contributors), but just add in a fresh new voice each time.

Most of all, keep it brief and on-topic - less is always, always more. Give yourselves 40 mins max and do the 'cast with a timer. Plan ahead, and work to a 'script' (however rough round the edges - could just be a scribbled list, but as a running order it'll do). If you can't fit it all in, let it go or carry it over to the next 'cast.

I'll sort out an RSS feed and stuff later and submit it to iTunes.

Does Future even do magazine podcasts :(

PCGamer UK do a monthly podcast which would be pretty decent but the US crew do a weekly podcast. Lazy Tim Edwards.

I think if you want to keep it shorter then an hour at the most is a good target.

I'd like to take part at some point too

Could Suzz sound any more bored while talking about 'the best game of the last 12 months' Demon's Souls?

Fallout 3 is nothing like Borderlands really. Not 'very' similar at all.
