You mean the epicentres of internet gaming hyperbole?
I know they’re pretty rubbish for getting an accurate viewpoint but the viewpoint of it being rubbish was seemingly widespread on both of them, while it was far from rubbish in my opinion.

I didn't find it bad at all, just nothing had that pit of the stomach fuuuuckkkk yeeeessssss next gen WOW factor I want before a new generation launches. That extends to the Ps5 event too, the only thing there which looked amazing was horizon, and mostly becuase I know they will deliver on it and it will be as good as they showed it to be. I we're so spoiled by how good things are now that games which would have looked jaw dropping 8 years ago, now barely register because it's only incremental changes on the surface.
For all the talk of biggest leap in generations, nothing gave me that millhouse in front of the tv feeling.
The only game recently thats had me speechless was BotW, when you first stepped out of the cave and when you could leave the great plateau
I was never really sold on the first Horizon so not surprised the second one didn’t wow me, it looked nice though!

The Switch reveal was fantastic, recall getting up at 5 am or whenever if was on (I know it was pretty early for us in the UK), was sold on it from that day on
Although with it being a Nintendo console I was guaranteed to get one anyway!

I thought it was fine, just as good as the Sony one.
Ah I wasn’t aware Resetera was quite heavy on the Sony side, presumed with it being such a large forum it’d probably have a decent split, but I only really browse it on the odd occasion (even then just the odd thread rather than site-wide) so don’t hang around long enough to see a real sense of bias one way or the other.
