Dread is not even close to being as good as Super

Fusion > Super > Prime trilogy > Other M > Zero Mission > Dread > Return of Samus

Are you smoking the crack putting Other M above Zero Mission and Dread

Of the ones I've played:

Dread > Fusion > Prime 1 > AM2R > Super > Zero Mission > Prime 2

Everything from Super up is a very good game

I'd put it as:

Dread>Fusion>Prime>Super>ZM>P2>P3>M2>OM>Hunters

Remakes just flat replace the original.
Haven't played FF, but it holds no appeal to me.

Dread>Fusion>Super>AM2R>Samus Returns>Zero Mission

Prime 2>Prime 1>Prime 3>Hunters>Prime Pinball>Hunters First Hunt>Federation Force(never played it)>Other M

Out of what I’ve played this is how I’d rank them,

3D games - MP - MP2 - MP3 - Hunters
2D games - Dread - Fusion - Zero Mission - Other M

Super Metroid is next up to be played on my Switch, might try the GB version of Samus Returns on there but would be using a map so I don’t get lost :shifty:

After completing Prime again recently (10/10) I'm going to play through some of the others, only other one I've completed is Fusion.

I've had Dread for a while and Online so have started Super.

Was stuck for a while, in what felt like that old-school 8/16 bit way which I don't think you get anymore, turned out I didn't realise there was a run button :fp:

I know the exact room you were stuck at.

It's a bit of a meme. The community call that "Noob Bridge" because it's one of the first "WTF" moments most new players have because they forgot/didn't know there was a run button.
I think it gets most people at least once. Back when games expected you to have a manual that you would refer to for the controls (Though the options at the start show them as well) instead of in-game prompts or tutorials.

Yeah, I'm casting no doubt on Ste's gaming abilities myself. Just sharing that it's a very common sticking point with newer players.

Annoyingly I think it lets you go back to your last save but if that's after a certain point then everything is locked down in the game

The wall jumping bit in Super Metroid is shite. Really drags the game down for me. I don't like the timing window on the wall jump. It's not forgiving at all.

It's definitely fiddly to get right at first, but I think once you've got familiar with the sequence of inputs it becomes pretty reliable.

Still could have been implemented better, but it was 30 years ago tbf
