In theory, you could use your KILL (3b).

Though ironically, they'd need to post on three consecutive days in order to activate the KILL required to remove your inactive player. :slol:

You could also vote to kill them at the weekend if they were a suspect that week...

One idea, which would be a bit of work for the mods, but this game format would potentially benefit from having private tribe specific threads. You could create them in the same manner as the death thread, by sticking them behind a hidden forum category which only that tribe has access to.

EDIT: added rule 3k

Nun wrote:Just to clarify, if a player is put up as a suspect and their tribe is guessed correctly. That player can't be put up as a suspect again.

Does this mean that unless this player is chosen to be killed at the weekend's lynch vote that they will effectively be immune to the weekend lynch vote as we can no longer put them up as a suspect from that point onwards?

Yes, however, consider rule 3e.

Ideally I'd like to not intervene on this point too much, if possible, as I would rather the playerbase work out the various risk / reward scenarios themselves through their own interpretations of the ruleset. However I can and will say: I won't "godkill" someone at the request of their own tribe, but if a tribe were to decide this (an ongoing inactive player) were an issue, they are free to apply the game mechanics to work against that player if they choose to. (Consider also: rule 1e, rule 1g, what Sprouty is saying.)

This would be much better and easier to engage with than a million PMs, no doubt.

Real, committed Tribes use WhatsApp to stay engaged 24/7.

I want the different threads to be implemented because you just know that someone is going to accidentally post something meant for their private thread in the main thread and give away their entire tribe

OrangeRKN, hero that he is, has been looking at this for us. Unfortunately it isn't a goer.

The only way to do it would be to replicate the Dead Zone setup for each tribe - however, if you go into a forumites Profile, you can see what Groups they're a member of, and the only way to access a hidden section is to be a member of the associated group. (For example, if you look at my profile now, you should see that I'm in the Dead Zone group.)

So if we were to do this, all you'd need to do is check someone's profile, and you'd see what Tribe they're in.

Where do you look on the profile? I can only see a little drop-down box, but the only group it mentions is "Registered Users".

Tried to read the rules but gave up (sorry Dan), I'm sure it'll all make sense as we go along.

Thanks for looking, Orange! We certainly dont want to do it if it creates a flaw that shows who is in each team!

We've solved it! There was some confusion on my part about making groups hidden, but it appears to now be working :toot:

If anyone knows they'll definitely not be playing but would like access to the Spectator / Dead Player Thread, let me know!

Because I'm really cool and interesting :shifty: I've simulated a few "test goes" of generating the tribes, and one thing that has been consistent throughout is just how good a playerbase this will be.

I'm yet to generate a Tribe where I haven't thought "yikes, they'd make a formidable team". TBH I don't think it's possible.

I'm fascinated to see how you all play this game out.

I'm excited! :toot:

I am off to a wedding this weekend, leaving tonight, back on Sunday. I probably won't be able to contribute to the thread after 5.30 today. I suspect it is mathematically likely that one of my tribe will have my mobile number. If someone in my tribe could kindly text me to include me in on any info/discussion, that would be appreciated. I will obviously check with Dan over WhatsApp that you are genuinely in my tribe before replying.
