It does an approximation of espresso. Just like the tassimo nespresso things do. People think it is the same as actual espresso and kid themselves it is.

It isn't.

Jammy - experiment with a few different brands. There's a huge range and choice of good coffees out there.

It doesn't make a proper espresso but it does make a lovely cup of coffee which is what I want from it. A lot better than the traditional French press it replaced.

I'd love to try out a mypressi to see how they compare to a proper espresso.

My Kone won't ship until next year now. :(

I'd like to try one.

I dont like french presses. The coffee isnt as good.

I'm happy with my stove at the moment. Will treat myself to a new espresso machine next year.

I will. most definitely. But for now I need a Christmas present. Will make a nice mini-present for my two bosses and will go with the Bialettis I got for my dad and a friend. I think I'll just get the Mocha-Java from that site. Can't go too wrong.*

I'd be tempted to go for one of the single origin selections or more adventurous blends as Mocha-Java is fairly common and if you are going to bother ordering from a speciality roaster you might as well get something interesting.

Looks interesting.

I shouldn't have gone to that site, it could cost me an awful lot of money. So tempted to get in some Yirgacheffe

I have celebrated my return to money-spending form by reverting from boggo-standard red label tea, to Twinings. The difference is huge.

Can't get enough of that Vietnamese Coffee. I'm making it at home with my Aeropress and some good Italian Coffee, even better than in the Noodle Bar :datass:

It certainly smells good. I went to order some stuff from Rave Coffee but their site was down, so I went with Coffee Direct. Got some Gautemalan stuff and a blend as well. The Guatemalan bags in particular smell heavenly.

The Tanzanian and Machu Piccu from Cafe direct are nice. They used to a do Mexican Palenque which is sublime but they discontinued it.

I find that I have to keep switching between a few of my favourite brands otherwise I get use to the taste of one tea and don't really taste it anymore.
anyone else feel the same?

Not sure but I know I'm not a fan of Tetley tea. Used to have it in my previous office. Maybe I was making it incorrectly, though.

The missus got me a Starbucks verismo 580 machine for xmas and have been liking it a lot. Makes nice espresso's and the latte's are good too (though not as good as instore latte's as they claim). Americano's from it are nice though as are the normal brewed coffees if produces.

Only downside are the pods are a bit pricey - £5.99 for 12  works out more too for lattes as you have to use a milk pod and an espresso pod - won't be such an issue as back to work tomorrow so won't get through as many but they've gone pretty quick the last couple of weeks.
