Are they all confirmed drivers or just testers?

I've not been keeping up on the team news: lots of new names there. Glad Lewis is looking to have found at least some pace, too.

Really liked the F1 in 3D. Maybe it's because the nature of the sport means it isn't all stuff flying out of the screen at you, its much more subtle. The cars look utterly stunning in 3D.

Impressive pace from Hamilton. Looking forward to actual racing rather than testing now though.

Anyone see Lee McKenzie's interview with Jenson the other day? Blates has a thing for him.

I wonder if the teams will put the hammer down today?

Germany's AMuS on the McLaren - Honda reunion:

- McLaren has not committed to Mercedes AMG engines for 2014 yet.
- The question is whether Honda will enter in 2014 or 2015
- Honda engineers are already working in Woking to ensure optimum installation.
- Mercedes is reluctant to do a one year (2014) deal with McLaren as they feel valuable information will fall into the hands of Honda.
- Mercedes is obliged to provide an engine if McLaren requests it till 2015 (this was part of the 2009 deal).
- A decision is expected in days.

So Rosberg quickest today, and Gary Anderson reckons Hamilton will be able to compete for the title.

Well, from what I've read and saw some from the testing today.

Apparently, Mercedes is a quick car and looks quite strong on the low fuel or one lap run. I'm not too sure about the long run for them, but Jenson Button said Mercedes did look quick though. I guess that said something about them now.

The real thing is, we will know more in two weeks time at the Australian Grand Prix so we may get some idea from there.

I'm not sure about Mercedes. They have flattered before at times in testing, only to be dismal at the first race. That said, they have consistently flattered this year rather than the one test wonder they have been in the past.

Mercedes has always been very good in low temperatures. But they have serious tyre issues in warmer climates, and it won't ever really be this cold during the season.

It won't at all. All the European races are during the summer.

I think they'll be better than last year but not by a lot.

Apparently the BBC will be showing the practice sessions live on BBC2 and BBC2 HD this year.

You think Perez will be on pole and Hamilton will win the race?

The pessimist in me says Vettel will win from the front.

I dont think red bull have the car for Vettel to do that yet really.

I think Perez will be blindingly quick and get pole but get carried away in the race and destroy his tyres.
