Talking of misguided programmes, did anyone watch Channel 4's Sexbox last night?

Image

People went into a sound proof box...and then came out of the sound proof box and talked about the sex they'd apparently had in there. As bad, unintentionally funny programmes go this was right up there.

Lots of new shows starting on BBC at the moment.

Started with The Ambassadors last week (Mitchell and Webb play British Ambassador and his advisor in fictional central Asian country - Comedy/Drama) which I thought was fantastic. Ripper Street (grim police drama set in 19th century east London - Mystery/Drama) was on last night which I thought was decent enough and had a bit of Sherlock Holmes about it. The Escape Artist (David Tennant plays a defense attorney - Dark Drama) is on now and seems very good so fsr, only half an hour in and it's very tense and compelling.

It's unusual of me to get on the back of three dramas in quick succession particularly BBC ones but Ive had lots of free time in the past week and I must say they're all of a very high quality, if only in production values. Would encourage everyone to give at least one a go.

Does The Ambassadors exist in the same universe as The Thick of It?

Oh sugar did I miss Ambassadors? My sort-of sister-in-law worked as a make up artist on that.

Danny Dyer was on Celebrity Juice last night, and he's on 8 out of 10 Cats tonight.

Both are repeated, with 8 out of 10 Cats Uncut on Tuesday.

You really have to catch the Celebrity Juice episode, as it was hilarious, especially the last sketch in the pub.
