Usually around 30-40ms on PC version. Not bothered unless I'm playing against a team who all have over 100 ping! Once noticed someone on just over 600, guy must of been playing tethered to his phone on a 2G connection :slol:

Good Connection or not I still am not the best at this game, playing it a lot recently. I like playing Variety Pack which cycles through all the maps including the DLC. Mixing game modes across 19 maps keeps it from ever getting boring. I do like the Regen requirements, I would never use the shotgun but as others said, it forces you to change play style.

Titanfall is adding co-op horde mode, lavafloor mode, MFD pro mode -

Titanfall is a lot of fun, but there's no denying that it feels a little… thin. The game's exclusive focus on player-vs.-player combat left many of us wishing for a bit more variety. Good news: The game's latest update will add a cooperative mode to the game, and it looks pretty cool.

The mode is called "Frontier Defense," and it's a four-player co-op mode that uses existing maps and sets players about defending towers from waves of computer-controlled enemies. Titanfall developer Respawn debuted the new mode today on Twitch—they're still playing it mode now, if you want to watch.

Frontier Defense looks pretty cool—players can set up automated machine guns, strategically place their titans, and even fight from a drop ship that hovers over the battlefield.

Respawn will doubtless have more information soon, including when the update will go live, and for which platforms. While at this point it feels fair to say that this sort of thing should have been included in the game at launch, better late than never.

They're also adding some other things as well, including Marked for Death Pro, which is a single-elimination round-based take on the popular Marked for Death mode - if the marked player gets killed, a point is awarded and the round ends. There's also a mode called Deadly Ground, which they called a "Floor is Lava" mode that fills the levels (not every level works, they say) with electrified fog, forcing players to use wall-running to keep from touching the ground, and causes constant damage to your Titan. Deadly Ground will work with a few pre-existing game modes. They also detailed a new ranked mode, and say that they'll be adding a few new voices for your onboard Titan AI.

Great news. Mega hyped for the new mode.

I don't agree with the article in that Titanfall feels thin, though.

Don't know if it's because of the last update but this has an annoying slight pause now :dread:

My Xbox One is updating Titanfall now. Didn't realise this update was due so soon - or is this something else?

Haven't played for a while, so I won't be able to tell if it's faster.

Frontier Defense mode is available right now. Deadly Ground starts 5th November.

17 new achievements.

Hats off to Respawn, they've added so much stuff to this game since it launched. Lots of cool 'free' updates as well.

Absolutely. To be honest, they provided enough content to begin with, in my view. Attrition and Last Titan Standing are just endlessly fun, particularly switching between the two, and the game shipped with enough maps - I can never remember the full list and they're all very well designed and varied.

Does anyone actually play anything other than Attrition, LTS and Wingman LTS??

I prefer Hardpoint personally. Frontier Defense was quite good actually, survive a spawn round and get given a turret to place wherever you like.

Just had a go at frontier defence. Jesus it's good. Only problem I have is it only being 5 waves... I'd like 20 or so. Amazing though, and for free!

Performance on this game for X1 is a mile ahead of launch, screen tear has all but gone and frame rate is far better than launch, almost a different game in that aspect.

Pity you play it on PC KJ, seem you and I are only grcaders who play the game.

Wow. That's not true. I play it, though I haven't in about two weeks. :shifty:

Game of the generation, so far. Easily.

I was playing it earlier. Was thinking of jumping on it now, but no one's on it, so meh.
