This game just looks so great.

Love the transition effect when a player gets in a Titan and the view comes up on the inside of the Titan.

Yeah, looks a lot of fun to play. I think they've really nailed the Titans.

Just caught up with footage of this and was very impresses. Looks gorgeous and the blurring of MP and SP looks to work really well.

It's cocktail time!. Then again when isn't it.

There's a very strong rumour that Xbone is just a one year exclusivity and it'll appear on PS4 in Q1 2015. If the game is any good I'll pick it up on the PC.

It's a possibility. But then it may never happen at all, as EA would probably pushing for a sequel at that stage.

Eurogamer: Titanfall PS4 version "is definitely not out of the question"
Let's put it plainly: will PlayStation owners ever see Titanfall?

"It's definitely not out of the question," Emslie replied. "We have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we're super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support.

"So yeah. We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we're at right now."

Well this is looking pretty damn awesome. I just hope the gameplay isn't too similar to CoD, which it was looking like in the newer footage. I like how the guy basically said the Xbox One cloud stuff is just performing the role of a dedicated server. I got the impression they weren't doing anything fancy/retarded on PC with that, so it looks like we'll just be on normal dedicated servers as per usual. No GFW Live gimping or anything like that.

No day one DLC or microtransactions too, I like that.

I wouldn't say no to this. :datass:

Let's wait and see. I wouldn't be surprised if it appears next christmas on the PS4 (with all the DLC, maybe?)

Cloud resources freed up 2 cpu cores in Titanfall:-

"Being able to know we have those servers available allows us to focus on other things," Baker says. It also frees up system resources for the game running on a console or PC. "Before we decided to do that, our plan was to have (two of six available) threads dedicated to that, to running the 'server' on one of the (player) clients. It gives us more CPU available on the console than we’d have."

"I don’t know that we would have tried this game, had we not had access to the cloud and the servers that it gives us," Emslie said.

Haven't been able to read the whole thread, but some quick responses to things I've read:

First - so glad to have this finally out there! Even more excited that people seem to "get it" and are looking forward to playing it. We've been focusing on gameplay since day 1, and I think everyone is going to have a really fun time getting to know the game once its out :)

The 60fps videos are from our site, www.titanfall.com. I don't care where you're getting 'em, but if Gamersyde is slow for you, try it. A huge part of the game is the fluidity, and thats really lost on weak-sauce Youtube 30fps encodes. As long as I'm around, expect 60fps footage from us.

For those expecting "normal" Source engine - don't. Those super smart coders (like Calen in this thread!) have re-written a massive amount of the codebase. The renderer is completely new (multi-threaded, DX11, 64bit, etc.), along with all the sound code, netcode, input code, etc. There's a lot of cores on the Xbox One, and the coders are actively working on utilizing them as much as possible.

Cloud! Cloud. Cloud? Yeah - we're using the MS Cloud for the Xbox One version. All platforms will be 100% played on dedis, but on the Xbox One MS is providing an extra layer on Azure that allows us to spin up dedis at a moments notice based on active users in the variety of regions, among other things.

We aren't talking about the 360 version much yet, but rest assured that we're working with the team thats doing it and care very deeply that its a superb version. This is our debut game and we won't let just any turd out the door!

PC - yup, going to be on PC, and its going to be awesome. We've got a lot of hardcore PC gamers in the office, and we know there's a lot of you looking to get this on PC. Again, no turds. We know what PC guys like/expect, and really don't want to disappoint.

Will the 360 version get to use the power of the cloud too?

I might get this on PC if it's not too much like CoD. I guess that Origin will be required?

Is there actually a single player mode to this? Or is the single player mode like Quake 3. Where you fight against bots?

Looks fantastic. And if I were to get an Xbox One, this would definitely be at the top of my list.

Its like Destiny/lots of other next gen games, wherein it has a SP story based campaign which is populated by both real people and AI.

It is all MP, but the MP is like SP in a current gen game.

Its MP with a plot and also AI characters. Not MP matches as you'd get in something like Halo.

In fairness, Brink 'sounded' good. In practice though. :dread:

From RPS: "We said, ‘Let’s just try to do something as different as possible from [Call of Duty].'"

Mission accomplished. :fp:

I can't help but feel all the SP/MP combined stuff will just fade away into nothing over time. That or just be totally unrealised when the game comes out.

So is this basically a game that will be virtually unplayable without a Gold subscription given the heavy focus on MP?
