- Plan to use Microsoft's Cloud for dedicated servers and physics and AI calculations

Sounds a lot like EA saying that SimCity would use its cloud servers for important stuff, too... This doesn't bode well.

I feel a little conflicted with this. I detest CoD. But I love the artwork and the concept. The marketing spiel isn't helping matters. It was cringe-inducing with the 'only possible on PlayStation with the power of Cell', and it hasn't changed in the slightest here. Stop telling us and show us. Although, to be fair to them, perhaps when this was scheduled to go out, presumably after E3, they might have. I won't hold my breath, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

So this cloud thing, right...is it basically being used because the One is a bit underpowered? Y'know, give the machine less to do by doing calculations on a cloud service somewhere.
What if the cloud goes down, does the AI become dumber? I can't find a match, or what?

Good to see it has some kind of single player as I think the rumours were multiplayer only. Might still be online only though. Sadly it's unusual to see a female FPS cover star, maybe a first.

Edit: just remembered Joanna Dark.

When Mechs were 1st mentioned a while ago I was imagining Halo 4 type robots but these seem massive from the cover art.

The cloud stuff actually sounds really interesting, thankfully MS are providing the servers and not EA. Hopefully we get to hear more about it at E3.

I think dedicated servers on all multiplayer is going to make a massive difference to Xbox Live.

Pilots (of Titans) are jack of all trades special forces.

Pilots call wall run, have jump kits allowing for multiple jumps at once (double jumping), and jump kits prevent fall damage.

Pilots can attack titans by dropping onto their backs (like in the cover shot)

Pilots have a smart pistol "noob-friendly" capable of locking onto and engaging multiple targets at once with one trigger pull. Good for engaging AI but humans get a "target lock warning"

Pilots have an assault rifle, anti-titan rocket launcher, and a data knife that can reprogram computer controlled characters to fight on their side

Repsawn's data shows that there is roughly equal preference to Titan and Pilot player time.

In one match we watched, players started on a spaceship in orbit and descended to the ground to start the assault. At the end of the match players were instructed to move to the extraction point. Making it back in one piece results in a huge XP reward.

Electronic Arts ‏@EA 3m

There’s a lot more of Titanfall to be revealed. Tune in to the EA E3 press conference on Monday June 10 at 1pm PDT for the details.

Maybe a trailer/announcement at MS conference and demo at EA's?

They destroyed modern gaming and homogenised the industry into the gooseberry fool we have today.

But this time they are harnessing the infinite power of the cloud! And releasing the game on PC without the infinite power of the cloud.

How can Respawn be accused of destroying modern gaming when it was everybody else's laziness and unoriginality by copying them, which lead to the situation we have today. What Respawn did was create imo the best game of the gen and the best online multiplayer of all time in COD4. If Titanfall is anywhere near as fresh, polished and addictive as Modern Warfare was at the time then it'll be quality.

This sounds like God of War with mechs and loads of Kratos'!
