Big news, wonder if it will have cross platform play of any kind.

I find it odd that they're saying they needed to focus on one type of hardware when PS4 and Xbone are more similar than Xbone and PC.

At the same time, if this was money hatted by MS in a big way, they wouldn't want it on PC, so I'm wondering why it's worth EA's while to make it a console exclusive, when I would have thought they would want this to be the next COD.

Cross platform play? For an FPS? That's only available on Origin and Microsoft's consoles?

Sounds lovely, good to hear some more firmer details on the cloud as well. I wonder what the one player mode is.

No tears please, it's all been a bit pie in the sky with the cloud talk but good to see what individual developers are using it for "unlimited dedicated servers for the game, offloading "a few dozen AI" and physics, says the game would be impossible without the cloud and wouldn't have attempted it." If you've got any complaints take it up with Respawn.

It's all PR bullshit though, in theory it could work great, but the infrastructure for the speed needed to pass that data back to a game just isn't there.

My company released a cloud based service last year and we are trying to get it to do things in real time, but the computing costs and speed issues mean it just isn't that feasible.

They destroyed modern gaming and homogenised the industry into the gooseberry fool we have today.

But this time they are harnessing the infinite power of the cloud! And releasing the game on PC without the infinite power of the cloud.

I'm an optimist but I don't think MS have got 300,000 servers, a Cloud team at Rare and a Cloud only Games studio in Lift London for a bullet point in a press conference. Maybe they see a future in it.

There is certainly a future in it, we need to get the proper infrastructure in place first. Would a company seriously release something that would limit other users experiences who have slow to no connections?

I am fully behind a cloud based future on any software. What is coming out of Microsoft is PR Cell level BS.
