It was definetly on Gamesradar, it use to piss me off back then too!

I've been hearing it on F365 for ages now and I'd wager that it came from there before here.

It's been going a good year/year and a half around here. And remember we do have a few members shared between the two forums.

The phrase isn't unique to GR. In fact I believe it's used (possibly originated) a lot on the Football 365 forums. However the reason we started using it on GR is because of a website Sam_Seed (I think) linked us to which belonged to a horrendous mess of a chavette (picture coming soon). One part of her website mentioned her dead grandfather, where she had written "RIP in peace grandad" or something along those lines. But the phrase "RIP in peace" was picked up from there and used from then on.

Applying an internet meme and not even a funny one, to a post about someones death is a little tasteless.

I'd rather it stopped.

Don't mistake being serious for having an opinion that's different to yours.

I always thought it was quite disrespectful for the person who's died, as it's meant to be funny. It's not.
