The match pacing was very reminiscent of old WCW main events I thought. Always one of the big difference between WWF & WCW was that the WWF had faster paced main events with younger guys; no doubt age played the factor just as it is now. WCW was much slower & relied more I suppose on crowd participation & stalling. I felt there was quite a bit of that in the Rock/Cena match. It was quite rough at times, actually. I was certainly getting a Hollywood Hogan vibe watching it, especially when Cena rolled to the outside.

Eh? :?

The first ten minutes of the match were Jericho trying to get Punk DQ'd. Jericho was brilliant there

The whole Sheamus/Bryan thing set the tone for the night. Was totally pumped and wanted to watch an actual wrestling match. No problem with Sheamus losing (even chose him in the the GRAPL).

Are you telling me the culmination of that match was worth an entire Royal Rumble match and 2/3 months of build for Sheamus?

They need to scrap that belt. And fast.

Yeah but after that they just forgot about it, you could have had Punk still go crazy on Jericho and with the exception of the bit with the chair it didn't really matter the match would have played out the same.

Also I wish, I really wish I had a wrestling observer subscription because I want to hear what they think about that opener.

I thought Michael Cole wasn't half bad in the main event. Still think they should have sent Jim Ross back out there.

Enjoyed the event but I am stil genuinely angry at the way they treated Daniel Bryan - utterly pathetic. I was looking forward to that match and you could tell the crowd were too with the noise and the gooseberry fool ton of signs everywhere (felt like I'd travelled back to early to the '90s). As others have said, the opening match sets the tone and you could see the crowd were deflated after 10 minutes. They were even chanting 'Daniel Bryan' during the next match.

I just knew when I saw that that this was going to be a fantastic crowd. And considering most of the noise would have been escaping in an open stadium, they were damn loud.

Makes no sense why you'd take the main feud on SmackDown (& the focus of January's PPV) & wrap it up in 18 seconds. It's like Bryan has failed a Wellness Test or something.

Yeah...if anyone was going to get an 18 second finish I thought it would have been Cody Rhodes. Humiliating D. Bryan like that is mind boggling. Not because I'm a mega fan of his but the way we were robbed of what would've been a damn entertaining match. For the second year in.a row we've been robbed of a Sheamus/Bryan match. For a Smackdown ep it would've been cheap but I MAY have accepted it, but for a Wrestlemania match...i just find it hard to accept.

Waiting for my pizza to arrive to energise me then I will start with the bonus round scores and post them. Then straight onto Wrestlemania results and they will be posted closely followed by the final leaderboard. I'll say 4pm-ish as long as there are no distractions.

I'm so knackered, managed about 3 and a half hours sleep before work today. My actual internet cut off last night during the main event (Talktalk :x ) but I managed just to get a stream back up about 2 mins before the finish. TENSE.

When are our names getting changed back?

Cool beans, cheers. I don't really mind getting some use out of them after yesterday's debacle in the mean time.
