CM Punk seems to be mentioning DVR viewership almost every week. It's not the only strange thing the WWE is doing as of late; purposely booking shitty segments, & then admitting they're gooseberry fool, is insane. If it was leading somewhere - i.e. improvements & changes - then great. But so far...

• We've got segments that go on forever & absolutely suck (booked twice on RAW to suck, just so CM Punk & The Rock could both come out & tell the fans, who were agreeing - particularly in the front row - that the show sucked, that yes, the show does indeed suck).
  
• A lead announcer that we're constantly reminded by all & sundry is terrible, & that the company would be better off with Jim Ross. Reminds me, anyone else see the sign in the crowd Monday which read "Stop bullying Jim Ross"?
  
• A WWE Champion that is so mind numbingly boring & one dimensional, viewers should fast forward him as well.
  
• Meanwhile, Kevin Nash is a ratings killer (second week in a row now). Knowing them they'll mention that on air next week, only to have him continue to come out anyway.

This is so obviously leading to a massive change after Survivor Series when Punk is given the title and they shake the show up.................right?

While WWE is obsessed with Twitter, everything said by The Rock was his own doing, and not something forced on him by the company. WWE’s social media department have gotten to Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn to the point they are reminding talent they have to tweet right before RAW goes on the air. One person behind the scenes, who used to be pro-Twitter noted, “It’s really disgusting to be around, a few months ago it was okay but now it’s like a disease.”

Based on early notes, WWE '12 is looking to be a huge success. Those at THQ are crediting the increase to The Rock primarily and Brock Lesnar secondarily, as pre-orders are at double the level of the 2011 Smackdown vs. Raw game. The US and UK are roughly double that of last year, while Canada and Australia, the two key outside UFC markets, are at triple the pace of last year at the same time. The belielf is that The Rock's return match coinciding with the release of the game has also helped.

For what it’s worth, right now the plan is for neither Cena nor Rock to go into Mania as WWE Champion. The original plan was for it to be a title match.

Perhaps they realised they needed something to sell the Royal Rumble next year. Cena/Rock shouldn't need the championship anyway, unless interest dimishes & they feel they need an added extra.

The company has applied for a number of trademarks including WWE Livewire, which they are going to be bringing back for the WWE Network. Other trademarks are WWE House of Fame, which will be the name of the TV show with the retired wrestlers all living in a house together, and WWE WrestleMania Rewind which is a TV show looking at old WrestleMania's.

WWE are working on a two disc CM Punk DVD project, which will include a documentary; and another three disc Rock DVD is also scheduled for release just before Mania.

Dan Severn will be coming in to Ring of Honor for a storyline. Severn is the guy who is training Eddie Edwards for his title match with Davey Richards at ROH: Final Battle.

Tommy Dreamer did an interview on Sirius radio saying he didn’t want to be in TNA any longer because there was no logic and that things weren’t being done from a business point of view. He said he missed everyone in TNA and missed everyone in WWE, but he thought no matter how hard he worked and destroyed his body, if the company wasn’t going to change, it bothered him and therefore didn’t want to be part of it. He said he didn’t want to be the bitter old wrestler who hates everything about wrestling and said he’d rather walk away.

It was pretty good but definitely knowing the outcome of a match always makes me care less about it.

Last week on Friday's PWTorch Livecast, Jesse Neal said if he didn't win the belt on Sunday he was leaving TNA.

I didn't think that was an actual stip Wonder what happened?

I rather liked Neal. He wasn't amazing, but had only been doing this for a few years.

Was nice to see him develop from where he was just a soldier/sailor sitting in the crowd to the point he was competing in the ring.

TNA has started to approach talent that aren't currently being used on IMPACT WRESTLING and Explosion and have asked them to relocate to Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, Kentucky. The reason given is that these individuals need to to refine their ring skills. One of the names approached, Jesse Neal, turned down the request and will therefore be finishing up with the company.

Bit of a stretch to expect performers to relocate - especially those who are clearly struggling anyway (he's claiming food stamps). On the other hand, they probably do need their ring skills tightening up. I mean, with that in mind, are they going to ask Garrett Bischoff? Okay, so he's being used on TV, but there's a perfect example of someone who would benefit from the increased experience.

Of course we don't (yet) know how much TNA would be willing to help in the move, with costs & so on. If at all.
