They are in Sheffield this November for the taping of Raw and Smackdown tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (25/04/09 at 9am)

Yep, I've learned to accept that it's never every going to be as good so I don't tend to moan too much about the current product now - I just accept that it isn't going to match up and reminisce about the good old days. I literally get chills watching that video when the crowd erupts at the start of Vince's theme, as you say the crowds were just unbelievably into the shows then.

I disagree, HUNTOR won't mind dropping the best to Orton if Batista does turn. As long as it's unfair circumstances and it doesn't make him look weak he's okay with it.

He may being a twat now but he did put over Batista and Cena at Wrestlemania. I agree though that not losing cleanly to Orton is ridiculous, and I'm including the feud last year and in 04.

He's becoming almost intolerable for me, if he really cared about the business he's in, he wouldn't mind losing cleanly to the future of the company.
I'm still pissed at him for not letting Jeff beat him for the WWE Title as well.

It was due to him that I lost interest in WWE. I think it was the latter end of 2002 and way into 2003 where he just seemingly always had the belt, and I'd had enough of it.

I enjoyed the period when he always had the belt in the McMahon/Helmsley era when it was literally The Rock vs the rest but since he became face and has refused to drop the belt to anyone cleanly he's just became increasingly more annoying.

I forgot about the whole Jeff thing, that was more absurd than with Orton. They built it up so well for him to beat Trips then it just petered out into nothing and Edge won only to lose the next month.

World Wrestling Entertainment sent out a peculiar press release this past Thursday saying WWE programming beat American Idol in the all important Males 18-34 advertiser demographic for the week of April 13th, reaching more than 16 million viewers. You can read the press release at corporate.wwe.com. To come up with the 16 million viewers figure, you'd have to combine both hours of Raw as two different shows, not to mention ECW, Smackdown & WWE Superstars, as well as all of the show replays on Universal, Mun2 and WGN America. You'd also have to consider that none of those people watched more than one show (including both hours of Raw), and then compare the total number of viewers for the week to a single episode of American Idol.
