The iMPACT! main event tonight is...

Rob Van Dam defending the TNA Title in a four-way match against Sting, Samoa Joe, and Matt Morgan.

I think everything this week is being taped out of sync, so this could make for some great continuity issues over the next 4 weeks.

Might dl this if some lovely fellow posts a link.

What is this video? :shifty:

I saw it ages ago. It's her in her gym clothes. Kinda leotard thing or whatever in a gym and she's demonstrating doing a striptease dance. It's pretty good. I searched, saw a thumbnail of the video on googlevids but it was just some porn site without the video  .

We need this video!

This is the first I'm hearing of this video and I strawberry floating love Layla.

Searched "layla el strip dancing" but the video has been removed from youtube for violation :(

PWTorch wrote:WWE might not publicly acknowledge the existence of TNA Wrestling on official WWE programming, but WWE is aware of TNA's programming on Spike TV.

WWE COO Donna Goldsmith criticized TNA's programming during a media & technology conference yesterday, saying TNA is "blood, guts, and gore" compared to their toned-down, PG product.

"If you look at another program called TNA, which is a wrestling program on Spike, that is blood and guts and gore. We are not going there, nor I would say have we ever been to that degree that they are," Goldsmith said at the J.P. Morgan Global Media, Technology, and Media Conference in Boston. "We decided no blood and if someone gets hit by accident, we will stop the match if we have to and take care of them. Those decisions (to market WWE TV as PG) were made consciously."

Goldsmith said WWE made the change to PG to help them draw revenue across the board by being able to establish more partnerships that would make money for the company.

"The networks are telling us we're PG and we're talking to our potential partners and they are saying, 'Prove to us you are PG and we will sign off on them.' Goldsmith said prior to officially going PG, they would show potential sponsors their reach on TV, their website, and live events, but sponsors would pass due to the content, saying 'The content leaves us a little bit uncomfortable.'

"We spoke to the writers, we spoke to Vince (McMahon), we spoke to public relations and asked if we can still keep the programming cool and edgy while taking it down a notch," Goldmsith said. "Our writers, yeah, they were challenged a little bit, but they said, 'We can do it. We can make this program just as good as it's been.' They started to take the program in a little bit of a different direction."

Goldsmith said they've had potential partners come back and want to work with WWE, including 7-Eleven with another summer promotion and Burger King with a "global Kid's Meal program" for the first-time ever.

That's such horseshit, it's unbelievable. I'd like to know what Raw is War she was watching...

They're nowhere at the level of violence of TNA though. Tacks, frequent table spots, lots more blood, fireballs, beer bottles to the face. This weeks show has Wolfe bottling Abyss. WWE has had the wrestling gimmick violence of chairs etc but TNA definitely take out the accepted norms to make it seem realistic.

TNA does these things so often the novelty has begun to wear off, but the WWE have used practically everything TNA employ currently. I wouldn't say there's been stuff in TNA that I haven't seen in the WWF over the last 15 years. I can't recall a beer bottle specifically, but they've broken a load of glass pitchers over the head & wrestlers have gone through glass laden tables. On Raw Undertaker hit Big Show with such a vicious baseball bat shot in 1999, Sky refused to air it.

Blood wise, the WWE are the ones that have produced some of the most horrific & graphic scenes that, bar the New Jack incident, would make ECW blush. Eddie Guerrero gushing like a fountain will probably never be topped.

And then there was the man-on-woman violence, which always went down like a lead balloon over here. Or the terrorism angle, where masked men attempted to garotte the Undertaker with piano wire.

They need to watch Vince vs Taker buried alive from SS03. Vince bled like a mothefu*ker that night , only rival I can think of is Eddie at Judgement Day 04.

She is. I had to google her to remember who the hell she is. She's done nothing of note in TNA (except get her head shaved) and that's the only semi-major promotion she's been in. They've fired her twice ffs.

A semi-major promotion? TNA is classed as WWE rival by everyone but WWE and merely because you didn't know who she is does not negate her merits/name/worth to the company you aren't exactly Jim Ross ;) She's had quite a glittered career on the independent scene and worked in Mexico, she's certainly bigger than Rayne.

The only titles that matter in the WWE are the two main heavyweight belts. It's a shame really, as both the US and Intercontinental titles had so much prestige, but are now worth next-to-nothing at all. It's a similar situation with the womens title, especially after last nights shitefest.

I was also glad to see Hart win last night, even though I know that in the end it will serve to do nothing but further devalue the title. In an ideal world we'd have Bret taking over as RAW GM, vacating the title and booking a tournament over the space of multiple weeks to crown a new champion. But at the end of the day, the WWE just has far too many title belts and nowhere near enough talent or creative genius to make them mean anything.

TNA is in the same boat, too. Heavyweight, X-Division, Global Championship, Tag-Titles, IWGP&IWGP Jr. Tag-Titles (no idea of the situation with these now), Knockouts, Knockout Tag-Titles. It's beyond a joke. :fp:

Just got done watching Sacrifice.

Abysmal. Anyone who says this gooseberry fool is on par or anywhere near on par with WWE (even now) is a retard. (I am aware I said it was thus making me a wee bit of a retard too),

Well it would be if anyone watched NXT.

I love these “shoot” & insider laden promos; I find them incredible because they list everything that’s wrong with the company – stuff wrote on message boards & said by wrestling commentators all the time (i.e Dave Meltzer) – yet the WWE carry on as normal.

Smackdown Tapings

CM Punk in the ring with three indy workers sitting on stools. The only recognizable worker is Ontario/Quebec wrestler Michael Von Payton (InterSpecies Wrestling, C*4 and others). Gallows and Sarena are running down young drinking in Canada. Punk leads the Straight Edge Pledge. All three have their heads shaved bald. Rey Mysterio comes out and shows photos on the screen of what Punk would look like bald. An irate Punk attacks all the pledgers out of frustration.

Layla and Michelle McCool (announced as the co-Women's champions) defeated Tiffany and Kelly Kelly.

Big Show does a promo on the Titantron making fun of Jack Swagger.

JTG pinned Croft.

Vickie Guerrero is speaking with Christian backstage. She asks who the first guest on the new Peep show will be. She intimates it should be her. Christian says he wants viewers, so no.

Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins defeat Ontario independents wrestlers Jeremy Prophet and Tyler Tirva.

More Big Show ripping on Jack Swagger on the Titantron.

Kofi Kingston pinned WWE World champion Jack Swagger with a high cross bodyblock in a non-title match when Big Show distracted Swagger. The Guest on the Peep Show is Hornswoggle. Christian teaches Hornswoggle how to speak Canadian and say 'eh', as well as beer and hockey. Vickie and Chavo Guerrero come out. Vickie says she's shutting down the Peep Show. Christian calls Vickie a moose. Hornswoggle hides in a box. Chavo enters the ring. Ziggler attacks Christian from behind, laying him out.

Rey Mysterio & MVP defeated CM Punk & Luke Gallows. Mysterio gets the pin on Punk, despite an attempt by the hooded S.E.S. member to interfere.

Big Show defeated WWE Intercontinental champ Drew McIntyre by DQ.

What a shockingly predictable finish to the main event (I said it last week!). Getting out the Wrestling 101 rulebook, this means Jack Swagger over Big Show (though Show could win by DQ), CM Punk over Rey Mysterio & Drew McIntrye over Kofi Kingston at Over the Edge.
