I always liked Paul Heyman on commentary for the simple reason he wound up Jim Ross so badly. He'd legitimately try & piss him off every single week.

Raw did a 3.2 rating, BTW.

MCV wrote:Publisher draws litigation to a close with $13.2m payout - but also scores eight-year deal for wrestling games

THQ's lengthy legal battle with WWE over a joint venture the publisher set up with toy firm Jakks Pacific has finally come to a close.

Wrestling organisation WWE had initiated legal proceedings as far back as 2004 under allegations of commercial bribery - it claimed Jakks had paid the former WWE licensing boss to grant it and THQ toy and game rights.

Now the publisher has agreed to pay $13.2m to the WWE to bring the matter to an end and dissolve the joint venture it established with Jakks in 1999. The firm will also pay $20m to Jakks over the next four years.

WWE and THQ have already announced future plans to put the legal spat behind them - the publisher has secured an eight-year exclusivity to make and publish wrestling games effective January 1st 2010.

"This agreement ensures that WWE games will continue to be an important cornerstone of THQ's annual release schedule for the long term," said Brian Farrell, THQ president and CEO.

I really didn't like that match because of his commentary

Michael Cole actually doesn't annoy me as much as Paul Heymans annoying strawberry floating gooseberry fool voice

The best thing about Heyman's commentary in that match was when he got over-excited and annoyed Jim Ross by foreshadowing Austin's heel turn, especially when Vince came out towards the end of the match.

Bobby Heenan did that at Bash of the Beach with Hulk Hogan. The WWE have now edited his remarks out on 24/7 (as they did on the Rise & Fall DVD too).

"But which side is he on?"

In their feud this year, John Cena and Randy Orton had 23 live event matches, 2 dark matches and 5 matches on WWE TV - 30 matches total. Out of those, John Cena won 28 and Randy Orton won 2. They also had 50 tag matches this year with 35 of those being on live events, 5 being dark matches, 10 on WWE TV and 2 where they were forced to team together.

:lol:

Raw did 3.18

Ok, finally got through Final Resolution, overall it wasn't a great PPV. Trouble was there wasn't much heat going into many of the matches bar the last two (which again were both masterclasses). Ok, so let's review this 'grapple' business

The Floex - 11
8-)

Egg Bog, loving the name you gave but not only did you screw me out of the 'grapple' so did this punk, ROTS

You come out with this;

I would do an impact question to fit TNA but I can't bring myself to watch anymore of that shite so it's another Raw question.

You damn skippy you should have done a TNA question :evil: I don't have a clue who this Shemaus is anyway! I go with it though and then this;

11mins 59 secs!!!! that's my guess for tonight. I'm sooo stoked to be top again!!!!

I go for 12 and he comes in this!? Forget the Bret Hart screwjob, this is bigger than that! The Floex should have won and you know it, everyone in this topic knows it. I should be the champ, the young gun from no where wins the round except the fairy tale ending turns into a nightmare.

Not the last you've heard of The Floex, you can guarantee that, wankers 8-) \/

Faces usually win the main events of house shows and dark matches though to send the crowd home happy, so it's a bit of a pointless statistic.

Apparently Dreamer is heading to TNA when he's finished. :fp: He clearly can't be a talent can he? It's not as if he can really draw at all, also he's meant to show up on the 4th Jan Show

Sheamus Sucking Up to Triple H?

There are mixed feelings on new WWE Champion Sheamus in the locker room. While some feel his friendship with Triple H has been blown out of proportion, others are accusing him of being a "shameless suck-up" to Triple H. The word going around WWE continues to be that Sheamus and new WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre are the favourites of Triple H and Shawn Michaels right now.

If I'm Randy Orton I've got to be seriously questioning where I am at the moment, he went from Number One heel, royal rumble winner, to loser within a few months, and bar the Kofi feud has really done nothing since. With Jericho not on Raw, he's needed to be that heel, but facing Cena week in week out is not a helpful start.

If HHH had put Randy over during their fued he would have been in such a better position than he is now.

I really did not understand that booking, he was a huge heel, then all of a sudden Triple H can beat the crap out of him time and time again, and then Shane McMahon delivers blows to his head :?

The Last Of The 6-Sided Ring?
from Wrestlezone.com

TNA has been using the distinctive 6-sided ring for a long time making it the only professional wrestling federation in the U.S.A to use it. This 6-sided ring has become a popular feature of TNA with matches such as the Six Sides of Steel being developed for this ring. According to PWInsider.com, the 6-sided ring may be short-lived as both Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are working and putting pressure on TNA to remove the 6-sided ring and go back to the traditional 4-sided ring. The development plans TNA is planning to do to it's arenas may be the ideal time for Hulk and Bischoff to promote this change but nothing has been confirmed from TNA.

And the Hogan/Bischoff take over begins :fp:

I quite like the 6-sided ring.

I can't help but think that without the unique ring TNA will look like a cheaper version of the WWE. If they do decide to rid themselves of TNA's signature ring, I would hope that they bring it back for special occasions like PPV's and definitely Slammiversary.
