But mere instants after The Phenom could have his cold arm raised as the victor, GM Long arrived to overrule the referee’s initial decision, reinforce the ban on Undertaker’s potent hold and grant Punk a second chance by restarting the match.

While the WWE Universe uncharacteristically jeered the General Manager and Hell’s Gate-crasher, CM Punk sprung back into action, en route to The Straightedge Champion’s signature Anaconda Vise. A shocking Canadian coup then became apparent; Long stood watch from the stage while Armstrong, the match’s official, signaled for an abrupt ringing of the bell to end the match in Punk’s favor, despite The Deadman’s lack of legitimate submission.

WWE's storylines are getting worse and worse...

I'll post GRAPL results once I can get a time for the last question. I fell asleep during the Ziggler "come up with 50 lame ways to say you're old" segment.

If there was going to be screwjob it's clearly going to be used in a main event match and having watched the I Quit match I knew what would happen in Punk/Taker.

The match was crap though so you're forgiven, also because you're you

In a bit of news that most certainly will not please WWE executives, "wwe breaking point live stream" was the most searched for term on Google.com at around the 10:00 p.m. ET hour, even overtaking tonight's MTV Video Music Awards. Google Trends has the term listed as "Volcanic" on the Hotness scale.

Wow.

The amount of PPVs this year that have had some sort of bullshit/DQ finish in the main events is unbelievable. 2nd straight PPV in a row that's had the main event match restarted.

I thought when they did it with Cena/orton at the last one it was hillarious but they need to make sure they don't use that now for quite a while as it loses it's effectiveness.

On the ppv as a whole i've just finished watching it. I don't think it was too bad. I'm happy it was free and no one in the UK had to pay for it.

I was confused about some of the matches. Where was the submission element to the Unified tag match, Kofi/Miz and i think Christian/Regal (don't think that ended with submission)?

Also the singapore cane match wasn't a submission match either. I don't really have a problem with it as i didn't like the whole idea of every match having to end in submission but then they should have marketed the ppv differently.

It was only ever the main events that had the submission gimmick

Breaking Point has been and gone. Crap PPV. Uber crap finish. I can tell you that Punk was on the receiving end of submission moves for 43.3 seconds. 38 of that was a crappy wristlock.

Among other things last night saw TWO disqualifications. Adam Pollard for missing the 11pm deadline and Zellery for missing his 9pm deadline. So with Zellery stalled for one round can Corazon catch up? He's the only one who could have caught up last night and even then he'd need at least 12 points out of a possible 14.

Results
Adam Pollard - Disqualified (Would have had 7)
Zellery - Disqualified (Would have had 7)

Taskmaster - 11
Lonestar - 10
Teh Bork - 10
Irene Demova - 9
Born Skippy - 9
BaronZemo - 8
Deadpool - 8
Chocolate Jim - 8
Balloon Sod - 8
Drumstick - 8
Ginga - 7
AJ Styles - 7
E-man - 7
Trugamez - 7
Dark Dragon 64 - 7
Return of the Star - 6
Gaminglegend - 6
BlackoutHERO - 6
Sykes - 6
sw26 - 5
Lucien - 5
Hank Scorpio - 5
KKLEIN - 5

So Mockmaster has taken you all you to task and won his first PPV! Send me your address for your prize. Interesting that he was the last valid entry to post barely 15 minutes before the deadline. Insider info perhaps?

GRAPL Leaderboard
Zellery - 74
Deadpool - 70
Taskmaster - 66
AJ STYLES - 64
Balloon Sod - 63
Hank Scorpio - 62
Return of the star - 62
sw26 - 62
Sykes - 59
Trugamez - 58
Drumstick- 56
Lonestar - 55
Adam Pollard - 55
Born Skippy - 54
KKLEIN - 53
E-man - 51
Irene Demova - 51
Teh Bork - 51
Dark Dragon 64 - 51
Gaminglegend - 50
Chocolate Jim - 49
Lucien - 47
Blackouthero - 46
Prototype - 45
Cropolite - 43
Ginga - 33
Ironmaiden - 25
Baronzemo - 18

So despite Zellery missing a round he is still top BUT the picture at the top is now looking very tight. This is once again anyone's to win. The fight for the podium spaces will be interesting to see over the coming months.
I'll see you in 3 weeks ( :fp: ) for WWE: Hell in a Cell ( :fp: )

I'm liking my climb up the ladder here, that's an awesome showing last month and a great one here. Things are looking good 8-)

Well done Taskmaster!

Was it. I got the impression that the whole ppv was supposed to submission based. Is this the same for the HIAC ppv, is that only the main events?

Also i now completely suck at this ppv prediction game, i appear to have lost all my power.

I assume so. Punk/Taker should be amazing and hopefully Punk will get the big win heading to a casket match or something at SS when Taker will win the title. Then a feud with Jericho with Y2J getting the title in time for Edge to return and take Jericho DOWN! 8-)

That'll do nicely.

That all makes a lot of sense and would do nicely for the next 6 months or so. However i would be a bit disappointed that Punk won't hold the title that long, him as champ, along with Show/Jericho are the main reason i've started watching SD again.

Also i did find how HHH/HBK dealt with the crowd last night very entertaining.

So I gained 8 points on Zell but I dropped a point on the third placed player, which has shifted from sw26 to Mocky. Glad to hold on to my second place slot, and glad to have caught up a bit on a seemingly impossible lead. Zell missing his deadline - :fp:

If only you'd done a little better. You lot have to take the prize places now. If Zellery wins he'll never shut up about missing a round.

If he loses he will also never shut up about missing a round. Looks like we will have to put up with more of his moaning then.

Also just realised i again lost a point by changing my mind a few hours b4 the ppv and changing an answer. Changed from c to d in the punk submission time :fp:

To be honest, The Undertaker and DX strawberry floated me. If they'd actually done what they were supposed to, I'd be in the lead now. :(
